Legality comes with responsibility—but also with permission.
Turning 18 usually means you can finally drive, vote, and stop asking your parents for consent slips.
It’s a rite of passage marked by new freedoms and the heady promise of independence.
But for Joaquin Arce, hitting this milestone came with a louder invitation: the official launch of his showbiz career.
While others are choosing courses or planning graduation trips, Joaquin is gearing up to prove himself as one of the industry’s freshest faces.
Recently signed under Star Magic, Joaquin is already making the rounds on the internet with little help from a very familiar name.

EARLY LIFE
Name, Age, Family
Born on May 8, 2007, Joaquin Arce turned 18 earlier this year.
His father, film and TV producer Neil Arce, took to social media to mark the occasion with a proud caption: “Happy 18th birthday, child! Time to conquer the world!”
Neil's message was paired with a simple mirror selfie of an adult Joaquin in a gray shirt, that showed off his lean physique.
Meanwhile, Joaquin's mother, Leysel Samson, has been a constant presence throughout his academic journey—proudly standing by his side at key milestones, including his recent high school graduation.

EDUCATION
Joaquin graduated from De La Salle Santiago Zobel in May 2025.
Throughout high school, he maintained a grounded presence—despite having showbiz blood running through his veins.
He was active in school sports, known among his batchmates for his charm and confidence, and was even crowned Prom King during his junior year.

CAREER
Joaquin's journey as a rising Actor
The next chapter of Joaquin’s life begins with a bold step into the entertainment industry.
On July 25, 2025, he officially signed an exclusive contract with Star Magic, joining a batch of newcomers that includes Angelina Cruz, Michelle Garcia, Carmella Ford, Ice Almeria, and the Mitra Sisters.
But his foray into showbiz didn’t start from scratch.
Before Star Magic, Joaquin was already under Cornerstone Entertainment, where he gained early exposure through guest appearances and online interviews, slowly testing the waters of public life.

Runway Modeling
Before joining Star Magic, Joaquin already had a foothold in fashion.
He walked twice for Bench Fashion Week 2024, donning designs by both the brand and Anthony Ramirez.
His runway appeal was further cemented when he modeled in Bang Pineda’s State of Bang show, turning heads in a bold neon green ensemble.
Later that year, he flew to Bangkok for a Posh Magazine Thailand editorial shoot, showcasing a natural flair for posing and high fashion.

PERSONAL LIFE
Joaquin's appreciation for stepmom Angel Locsin
Behind Joaquin's rise to stardom is a household name who is greatly rooting for his success in the industry.
Aside from being the son of Neil Arce, a businessman and film producer, Joaquin is also the stepson of Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin.
Joaquin made headlines not only for joining showbiz, but also for prompting Angel’s brief return to social media after nearly three years of silence.
The actress broke her hiatus to repost the young star’s Star Magic launch video on Instagram, along with a heartfelt message.
"Me, your mom & your dad are proud of you. Can't wait to work with you."

The post quickly trended, with fans elated to see Angel back online—and for such a meaningful reason.
Joaquin, for his part, was just as stunned.
"My God, nagulat talaga ako [nung nalaman kong nagba-viral na]," he shared during his contract signing.
"Actually, hindi sinabi sa akin na ilalabas na yung launch post ko. I was just scrolling on my Instagram sa kotse and then biglang nakita ko, nag-pop up, story ni Tita Angel.
"Ang nasabi ko na lang is, 'What?' Ako rin nabigla, na-surprise like she broke her silence for so long, especially on Instagram just to repost my launch post.
"I'm so grateful to her. Even if, kahit stepmom ko siya, fan din ako."
The appreciation runs deep.
“I hope I’m living up to your standards,” Joaquin said when asked for a message to Angel.
Asked if he’s open to working with his stepmom someday, Joaquin didn’t hesitate—though he added a dose of humility.
"Well, right now, I can't say for sure if we’ll end up working on a project together.
"But maybe, if I act well enough, I’ll earn the right to be on her level. Baka magkaroon ako ng karapatang makatrabaho si Tita Angel.
"Based on her career and the projects she’s done, it would probably be action. But again, I'm open to anything."
