DILG does not plan to stop Ang Probinsyano from airing, says Interior Secretary

The Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año is aware that FPJ's Ang Probinsyano airs a disclaimer saying that its story is "purely fictitious." However, he points out that this has limitations since the show of Coco Martin (in photo) uses the logo, insignia, and uniforms of the Philippine National Police.

Saad ni Año, "We are always open to dialogue and we look forward to meeting with them soon…. We are looking forward to a constructive meeting where both parties can relay their honest views to each other."

Paliwanag naman ni DILG Assistant Secretary Jonathan Malaya, "We are disturbed, to say the least, that Ang Probinsyano has been using the name of the PNP, its logo, and other identifying characteristics while tarnishing the image of the police organization by portraying a scalawag Chief PNP and corrupt police officers who do illegal activities."
