Singer-actress Jessa Zaragoza reveals that her husband, Dingdong Avanzado, has been battling health challenges that have kept their family in and out of the hospital for weeks.
In an Instagram post on July 6, 2026, Jessa shares to her followers photos of Dingdong from his hospital room as she explains why she has been "MIA," or missing in action, lately.
The "Bakit Pa" singer apologizes to fans for postponing some of her scheduled commitments, saying she has been unable to focus as she prioritizes her husband's recovery.

According to Jessa, their ordeal began around Father's Day, with Dingdong repeatedly being hospitalized.
She says in her post: "I’ve been MIA dahil sa mga todo pasang kaganapan sa life.
"Pasensya na sa mga na-postpone kong scheds. Di ako maka focus talaga.
"Since Father’s Day, June 22, we’ve been going back and forth to the hospital, as Dingdong’s been facing health challenges."

While she did not disclose the exact medical condition her husband is facing, Jessa reveals that Dingdong recently underwent surgery.
She also admits that caring for a sick loved one has been emotionally and physically exhausting, as she has had to remain alert at all times to attend to Dingdong's needs.
She shares: "Between his surgery and being admitted again this past Friday.
"I’ve realized, hindi rin biro mag-alaga ng loved ones mo na may karamdaman.
"I have to be on my toes all the time pag may kailangan siya," she said.
JESSA THANKS THOSE PRAYING FOR DINGDONG
Despite the difficult situation, Jessa expresses heartfelt gratitude to their family and friends who visited Dingdong during his confinement, sent food, and continuously prayed for his recovery.
She continues, "Thank you to all our family & friends who took the time to visit Dingdong (yung iba are not in the picture). Salamat sa mga padala ninyong food.
"We appreciate you all. Thank you for the prayers."

Jessa also shares that Dingdong had one simple birthday wish as he celebrated his 58th birthday on July 7.
"We’re looking forward to celebrating Dingdong’s birthday out of the hospital.
"Yun na lang daw ang birthday wish niya."
Before ending her post, Jessa thanks Dingdong's medical team—including his cardiologist, urologist, and infectious disease specialist—for their dedication and care throughout his recovery.
She writes: "Salamat ng marami to Dingdong’s doctors for getting to the bottom of this.
"Especially to Dr. Perfecto Palafox our Cardiologist, Dr. PJ Fernandez (Dingdong’s Urologist) & Dr. Ariola/Ramos (Infectious disease doctor).
"Thank you Lord."
