Television host and adventure junkie Drew Arellano has found a way to bring the mountains home, with Bahay ni Drew tucked in the lush hills of Tanay, Rizal.
After years of sharing snippets of the build on social media, Drew and wife Iya Villania are now ready to let travelers experience the comfort, calm, and character of their eco-friendly hillside haven.
As Drew himself announced on social media: “Our dream home in Tanay is now open for everyone to experience.”

BAHAY NI DREW TANAY
Set on terraced land with modern tropical architecture, Bahay ni Drew looks as if it grew out of the mountainside itself.
The sprawling property is divided into multiple structures—the main house with a pool and expansive veranda, a separate guest pavilion, and stone pathways bordered by greenery.
Finished in concrete and glass, the mountain house is powered entirely by solar energy.
Wide glass walls invite sunlight during the day, postcard-perfect sunsets come dusk, and an infinite panoramic stretch of the Sierra Madre mountain range.

True to Drew’s Biyahe ni Drew spirit, the location is no accident.
Tanay has long been one of Rizal’s crown jewels—known for its waterfalls, hiking trails, and scenic drives.
From Daranak Falls to Masungi Georeserve and Pililla Windmills, the area invites you to trade city horns for bird calls and morning rushes for morning mist.

AMENITIES AND ENTERTAINMENT AREAS
Step inside Bahay ni Drew, and it’s easy to see how the abode serves as a love letter to slow living.
The architecture breathes, thanks to open layouts and glass walls that invite the outdoors in.
Front and center is the infinity pool, a serene sheet of blue that mirrors the skies above.
Beside it, the heated jacuzzi bubbles softly, as its steam curls into the cool Tanay air.

Suspended above the slope, the two water activities make it the perfect spots to catch the golden hour.
The deck beside the pool is plopped with sun loungers, inviting guests to capture the calm after a hectic city life.
Opening directly to the pool deck are sliding glass doors into the main dining area, which is a long, open space with rattan chairs.

Further in, there’s a covered play zone where guests’ little ones can make their own joyful noise, encouraging more family time.
Designed to shield kids from rain and harsh sunlight, the area features soft mats for safety and opens up to fresh air and scenic views.
A sturdy swing set hangs at one end, beside a green slide that twists down gently for smaller children.
There’s also a mini climbing wall, complete with hand grips and footholds that let kids unleash their inner mountaineer.

Fitness enthusiasts won’t feel out of place either.
An outdoor mini gym area sits by the lanai, equipped with dumbbells, kettlebells, and a treadmill facing the sunrise.

And then there’s the billiard area, set under a canopy with transparent roofing that lets natural light pour in during the day.
