Kapuso TV host Iya Villania announces that she and husband Drew Arellano are selling one of their properties.
The revelation comes in a Facebook post dated September 15, 2025.
“Anyone interested in investing in a Sydney apartment in a prime location? Selling our Sydney apartment and it’s a great price for a 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom unit in the city [cityscape emoji],” Iya writes.
The family that frequently shuttles between the Philippines and Australia has outgrown the cozy urban pad.
Iya explains: “RFS [Reason for Selling]? Simply because we need something a little bigger because hello… 5 children [grinning face with sweat emoji].”
Although it's now a bit small for their growing brood, the 24 Oras "Chika Minute" segment host assures that the home still offers ample space for smaller families.

LANDMARKS
The apartment boasts a prime address on George Street in Sydney, directly across from Haymarket Light Rail and just 200 meters from Central Station.
“This place is nothing short of ACCESSIBLE,” Iya emphasizes in her post.
“We chose this area specifically because of its easy access to public transport hence not needing a car or car seats when we visit [grinning squinting face emoji].”
Iya goes on to highlight how Central Station connects easily to the suburbs, while the Light Rail provides seamless trips around the city.
These include a straight route to Circular Quay, where the iconic Sydney Opera House stands.
The property is also a short stroll away from Darling Harbour, home to attractions like Sea Life Sydney Aquarium, Wild Life Sydney Zoo, Madame Tussauds, and the Maritime Museum.
“For the kids, Tumbalong Park at Darling Harbour was always the favorite,” the celebrity mom mentions.
On top of its leisure appeal, the apartment’s location is also highly practical.
It sits near the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), which, as Iya points out, is a plus for families considering long-term stays or future schooling.
Everyday conveniences are just as accessible, with a Woolworths supermarket just a four-minute walk away.

Inside Iya and Drew's Sydney Apartment
Alongside her quest for buyers, Iya uploads photos of the apartment.
The living and dining area is bright and welcoming, with large windows draped in white curtains that let natural light pour into the space.
Neutral tones dominate the interiors, with light wooden floors, white walls, and gray sofas creating a clean, modern backdrop.
Pops of color come from indoor plants, wall art, and a playful throw draped across the couch.

A ceiling fan provides comfort, while a mounted television stands across a low bookshelf stocked with books and décor.
The dining area sits adjacent to the living space, featuring a simple white dining table paired with minimalist white chairs.
A round mirror adds a touch of elegance and creates the illusion of a larger, airier space.
The kitchen is compact yet highly functional, featuring sleek white cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, and ample storage.
It comes equipped with a full-sized fridge, dishwasher, gas stove, oven, and dual sink—making it ideal for family living.

The apartment has two bedrooms.
The master bedroom features a king-sized bed and large windows that frame views of Sydney’s skyline.

The second bedroom, furnished with a single bed, also enjoys ample natural light, making it suitable for a child, guest, or even a home office.
There are two bathrooms.
One features a walk-in shower with glass enclosure, while the other includes a shower-over-bathtub set-up—ideal for families with young children.

Both are finished in neutral tiles and fitted with mirrored vanities and ample storage.

Who can buy the property
In her post, Iya is transparent about the property’s eligibility for buyers: only Australian citizens or permanent residents can directly purchase the unit.
While foreigners can technically apply for approval through the country’s Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB), Iya relays her agent’s advice that the process is “costly and gruelling” and “not recommended.”
At the time of her announcement, the apartment was still considered an “off-market” opportunity, meaning it had not yet been listed publicly.
But she warns that by the following week, it would enter the open market, increasing competition among buyers.
“This is still an off-the-market opportunity but by next week it will be on the market already,” Iya writes.
“So act fast [grinning squinting face emoji].”
