Christmas comes with a fresh start for Kim Chiu, who unveils her newly renovated kitchen and dining areas just days before the holidays.
The actress shares the transformation on December 21, 2025, through a vlog titled “Year-End Special Home Tour."
The renovation feels like a personal reset for Kim after a demanding year.
Designed by Janet Lee Design Studio, the space now reflects her preference for simplicity, warmth, and functionality.
The overall look leans toward clean whites, soft neutrals, and carefully chosen details that make the area feel welcoming.

Storage as the main priority
Kim begins the tour by highlighting what matters most to her—storage.
“Simulan natin sa cabinets,” she says, explaining that this was her biggest request from the start. She thanks Oppein for making it happen.
For Kim, having many cabinets is all about organization, explaining that different items need different storage areas.
There are sections for kitchenware, glasses, and other essentials.
One cabinet feature immediately catches her attention: it has a retractable holder that neatly stores multiple glasses and also slides inward to save space.
Kim is clearly excited as she demonstrates how it works: “Dito pa talaga ako na-amaze.”
Above the counter, more overhead cabinets reveal rows of tumblers in various colors and sizes.
The Kapamilya actress laughs while showing them, admitting she enjoys drinking from different containers.
She jokes that she might end up selling some of them because she owns so many: “Magpapa-sale nga pala ako ng tumbler, char."
Nearby storage holds more glassware, including rose-gold wine glasses. Kim lifts one and adds a humorous remark that resonates with viewers.
“If you want some, you can drink to that,” she says. “Because life is so harsh lately. So we gotta drink to that.”
An on-screen text reading “huooyyyy” appears shortly after.
Many viewers take it as Kim's playful nod to the personal challenges she has faced recently, including her legal dispute with her sister, Lakam Chiu.
She then moves on to her refrigerator, which features a glass panel that lights up with a simple knock.
Kim makes a point of mentioning that this appliance is not part of any brand partnership: “Wala namang sponsor nito, ako lang. Sponsored by myself.”

Kim's Coffee Area as her favorite spot for mornings
One of the highlights of the tour is Kim’s coffee area.
Tucked neatly in a corner, it is accented with small potted indoor plants and succulents that add texture and warmth to the space.
“This is my favorite spot in the morning,” Kim reveals, describing it as her go-to area for starting the day.
She gives special thanks to De’Longhi for her Eletta Explore coffee machine.
Kim also says she can choose her coffee through Bluetooth while still in bed: “Nasa kuwarto pa lang ako, puwede ko nang i-Bluetooth yung coffee ko.”
By the time she reaches the kitchen, her drink is already prepared.
She adds that the coffee area offers one of the best views in the house, which is why she enjoys spending time there.
Kitchen Island and Countertop
The kitchen island and countertops stand out for their smooth white finish and subtle veining.
Kim refers to the aesthetic as “sobrang white lang, elegante, banayad, malumanay,” exactly what she wanted.
She thanks Euroasia, specifically its ColorQuartz line, for the installation.
Beyond its appearance, Kim highlights the line's durability.
“Stain and scratch resistant siya,” she relates, underscoring how ideal it is for daily kitchen use.
The island itself serves as both work surface and gathering area.
Kim jokes that it looks comfortable enough to lie down on, demonstrating how inviting the space feels.
She then spills a feng shui detail that influenced the design: because there is a bedroom above the kitchen island, they avoided installing a built-in burner.
“Bawal ang burner kapag may natutulog sa second floor," so she opted for a portable induction cooker, which can be plugged in when needed.

Cooking her comfort food
The vlog shifts into a cooking segment as Kim prepares her favorite comfort meal at home.
She lays out the ingredients for shabu-shabu, which includes cheese balls, fish tofu, enoki beef rolls, mushrooms, kimchi, Korean spicy sauce, sesame oil, and pork bone broth purchased from Shopee.
“Ito talaga yung favorite comfort food ko dito sa bahay,” she says, waiting for the pot to boil.
She also takes time to answer questions and reflect on the year just passed.
Kim does not shy away from describing 2025 as a difficult year.
“2025 is very tough,” she expresses, recalling how it challenged her both personally and professionally.
She says the year has been a period of growth, learning, and self-awareness, likening it to Miley Cyrus’s song "The Climb."
Kim sings: “It’s always gonna be an uphill battle. Sometimes you’re gonna have to lose.”
Despite this, Kim acknowledges career milestones in 2025.
She speaks about projects that allowed her to explore her range as an actress, mentioning her recent on-screen partnership with Paulo Avelino, a tandem known to fans as KimPau.
Laughing, she admits she never expected to be part of another love team at this point in her career.
“Hindi ko akalain la-love team pa ako at the age of thirty-something. Sa tatlong dekadang love team, magpapasalamat na lang ako sa lahat ng mga naka-love team ko sa buhay.
“Dahil nagpatagal siya dito sa akin sa industriya. Pero hindi ko talaga naisip na magkakaroon.”
She thanks supporters who embraced her partnership with Paulo and expresses appreciation for the projects that came from it.

A dining area meant for connection
After cooking, Kim heads into the dining area, which she calls one of the most-used spaces in her home.
She reveals that all the furniture in the area come from Taylor Living.
The veined marble dining table immediately stands out, paired with upholstered chairs that make the space feel inviting.
“Dito talaga kami madalas mag-hangout ng friends ko,” Kim says, noting how comfortable the space feels for her guests.
Looking up, she points to the custom-made chandelier by Asservio hanging above the table.
“Hindi makukumpleto ang dining table kung wala ang dining lights,” she says.
