ABS-CBN Ball is back with its annual glitz and glamor event.
Held at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel on September 30, 2023, this much-awaited gathering not only showcases exceptional talents, but also serves as a thanksgiving celebration for the Kapamilya Network.
In this year's edition, ABS-CBN gives fans the power to vote for their idols for the People's Choice categories: Stars of the Night, Power Couple of the Ball, and Star Magic Fan Favorite.
Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano emerged as the big winners as they won as a pair as well as in individual categories.
Belle was hailed as the People's Choice: Female Star of The Night with a total score of 28.79%.
Francine Diaz landed the second spot with 19.52% and Andrea Brillantes finished at third with 12.65% share of votes.
Donny was hailed as the People's Choice: Male Star fo The Night with a total score of 15.63%.
Kyle Echarri landed in the second spot with 10.20% and Seth Fedelin finished third with 9.42% share of votes.
For the People's Choice: Couple of The Ball, Donny and Belle was the runaway winner with 67.46% share of votes.
KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad landed the second spot with 22.94% and then Seth Fedelin and Francine got the third spot with 8.16%.
People's Choice: Star Magic Fan Favorite proved to be a stiff competition between Anji Salvacion and Alexa.
But it was Anji who got the top spot with a score of 29.50%.
Alexa landed the second spot with 28.04% followed by Vivoriee with 2.58% share of votes.
PARTIAL AND UNOFFICIAL RESULTS AT 5pm of saturday
The leaderboard of the ongoing poll, as of 5 p.m., was flashed on ABS-CBN livestream and announced by livestream host Bianca Gonzalez.
At the time, Belle was already leading the poll for the female category of People's Choice: Stars of The Night.
She was followed by contenders Francine, Andrea, Jane de Leon, and Janella Salvador.
At 5.p.m., Donny Pangilinan was also leading the poll for the male category of People's Choice: Stars of The Night.
He was followed by Kyle Echarri, Seth Fedelin, Daniel Padilla, and Elijah Canlas.
People's Choice: Power Couple of The Ball was also led by Donny and Belle, also known by their uniname DonBelle.
Other contenders for the pairs were KD and Alexa, Seth and Francine, Gerald Anderson and Julia Barretto, and RK Bagatsing and Jane de Leon.
Star Magic Fan Favorite for the female category was led by Alexa on Saturday afternoon.
Other female contenders were Anji, Vivoree, Seham Daghlas, and Shanaia Gomez.
Star Magic Fan Favorite for the male category was led by Eian Rances.
Other male contenders were KD Estrada, Brent Manalo, Zach Guerrero, and Raven Rigor.
Fans voted via KTX or YouTube, and the poll was closed by 9 p.m.
Part of the proceeds for these special awards will go to ABS-CBN Foundation.
