Darren Espanto's early twenties have hit an exciting new peak as he makes yet another "big boy purchase."
The term, often used in Gen Z lingo, refers to an expensive acquisition, often symbolizing the transition into adulthood and financial independence.
In Darren's case, the purchase was indeed significant, as it was no ordinary one. To the delight of his loved ones and followers, he treated himself to a luxury vehicle worth a staggering PHP19 million.
On September 5, 2024, Darren posed beside his brand-new ride in a series of snaps published on his social media platforms.

"Made another big boy purchase! [face with sunglasses emoji] Very grateful for all of God’s blessings," he wrote.
Apart from it being a status symbol, the Cadillac Escalade in the color ‘black raven’ also holds sentimental value for the young star as it reminds him of his childhood.
"Always loved riding my parents' Escalade as a kid and been a fan ever since. And now, here we are."

DARREN REAPS BLESSINGS AFTER RECOVERY
This huge achievement comes just a month after Darren's recovery from a health scare that left his fans concerned.
On August 11, 2024, Darren opened up about his experience with appendicitis, detailing the unexpected series of events that led him from an international flight to an emergency operation.
"Akala ko sa trabaho ako de-deretso pagka-land namin. Hindi pala. [grinning face with sweat emoji]," he began.
"Was so ready to be back on It’s Showtime but the universe had other plans."
The singer recounted how he felt stomach pain after his flight from Los Angeles, thinking it was just hunger.
However, as the pain worsened, he realized it was something far more serious.
"From the airport to the hospital. Woke up on the plane from Los Angeles at around 1 AM (Manila Time) and felt a bit of pain in my stomach. Didn’t mind it and thought I was just super hungry," he recalled.
"We landed 4 hours later and the pain got worse once I got into the car. Thought it was just gas but the pain became unbearable."
He continued, "I asked to be taken to the nearest hospital from my house and they had me take a CT Scan right away.
"Found out I had appendicitis and had to get an appendectomy immediately."

Fortunately, the condition was caught before the worst happened, and he underwent an appendectomy at St. Luke’s Medical Center.
"Thankfully, my appendix hadn't ruptured yet," he assured.
"Went to our doctor at St. Luke's and I had a laparoscopy all within 5 hours of everything happening!"
As Darren bounces back from his health ordeal, he thanked and recognized the support of those who helped him through the experience.
"Thank you to my family and friends who visited and sent gifts! Thank you, Darrenatics! Y’all made me feel so loved. [red heart emoji]."
He extended his regret and sincere apologies as well, for having to miss out on several professional commitments.
"Finally discharged and hope to get back to work soon! I'd like to apologize to the commitments I had to cancel because of this.
"Thank you po for understanding. [praying hands emoji]"
