Anne Curtis hasn't gotten over the feeling when she held her daughter Dahlia Amelie Heussaff for the first time after giving birth.

She recalled the moment in her appearance on the ABS-CBN web show I Feel U on November 22, 2020.

Anne said she felt an "explosion of emotions" and it all seemed to her like, "You're basically holding your world and your universe in your hands...

"Siyempre, aside from the fact iyong hirap ng giving [birth], the whole process of actually giving birth...

"Finally, when she's handed to you, all of that pain, it just kind of dissipates and then… your world."

The ABS-CBN A-lister gave birth to her daughter on March 2, 2020, in Melbourne, Australia.

The new parents, Anne and husband Erwan Heussaff, introduced Dahlia to the public on March 6.

Anne Curtis with daughter Dahlia: new kind of busy

For 11 straight years, the actress had been one of the regular hosts for the Kapamilya noontime program It's Showtime.

Anne would be at the It's Showtime studio by 10:30 a.m. and leave by 4:00 p.m. That was pretty much her daily schedule from Monday to Saturday.

Afterwards, Anne would attend to other work commitments.

When she got pregnant and had to go on a maternity leave, she took a leave from showbiz as well.

During the virtual interview, she reflected on how becoming a mother has altered her life in a major way.

Although away from showbiz, Anne has not been idle. Baby Dahlia has been keeping her busy.

She said, "It was only now na parang na-enjoy ko ang buong araw na walang ginagawa. This was when I was pregnant.

"But after I had Dahlia, ay, busing-busy na ulit life ko!"

Anne was scheduled to return to the Philippines with Dahlia in June 2020, but the pandemic kept them all, including Erwan, in Melbourne.

For Anne, it was a blessing in disguise, a rare opportunity for her to experience what it's like to be a full-time mother to her baby.

She said, "If ever anything, parang, the silver lining I guess of this time for us personally is talagang nakakasama namin siya 24/7.

"As in pareho kami ni Erwan 24/7 namin siya nakakasama. That's the good thing about this crazy time."

Anne Curtis feels "most beautiful" thanks to daughter Dahlia

Anne has one of the beautiful faces among the stars today, and if it did not matter that much to her before, it is even less so now.

She said, "Alam mo minsan, you don't think about that anymore. Alam mo iyon?

"Parang you become less conscious about yourself. Like it really doesn't matter anymore. Iba na ang focus mo."

But Anne added she is now at her "most beautiful," despite the sleepless nights and the after-birth bulges here and there.

She declared, "This is the most beautiful I feel because of the beauty that is surrounding me at the moment.

"And maybe it's because of Dahlia that I'm able to feel all this love and be the best version of myself."
