GMA-7 teen stars Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay intend to make the most out of their Holy Week break.
In Sofia's case, it will be her birthday week, which means her plans include a celebration of sorts.
The soon-to-be-17 actress told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an exclusive interview, "Ako po this time, mag-out of the country po ako going to Singapore, since kasabay po lagi ng birthday ko yung Holy Week."
Allen said in the same interview that he will be staying in Manila with the rest of his family, "Simple lang pupunta yung family ko dito sa Manila, and sama-sama lang kami sa bahay."
PEP.ph interviewed Sofia and Allen during the third day of Bench Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2023 held at The Playground of Bench Tower in Bonifacio Global City last March 19, 2023, Sunday.
WHY SINGAPORE?
Sofia said Singapore was a natural choice for her birthday celebration because, "Yun po talaga yung comfort country ko kasi parang kapag nasa Singapore ako, ang gaan lang...
"Well, magaan naman yung dito sa Philippines, pero yung feeling when I’m in Singapore it’s like parang ang calm ko lang.
"It feels like wala kang magiging problema whenever I’m in Singapore lalo na kapag sumasakay ako ng trains sa mga buses nila, super saya."
Sofia named Universal Studios theme park as her favorite tourist destination in Singapore.
"Kasi mahilig ako mag-rides. Na-enjoy ko talaga yung mga rides doon.
"Medyo iba sa rides here in the Philippiines kasi mga high-tech rides, gaya nung 4D, tapos ang lawak."
She recalled her one trip on the island with Allen and how they both the enjoyed the rides.
"Hindi ako nag-pay attention sa nagpe-play sa screen sa 3D, iniikot ko yung mata ko...
"Parang, 'Bakit kaya nagwo-work ito?' So nadiscover ko na umaakyat pala kami ng second floor tapos bababa ulit kami ng third floor. Wala share ko lang.
"Nag-focus ako sa ride na yun one time tinitingnan ko lang yung paligid paano nangyayari."
ALFIA: BACK TO WORK
After Holy Week, Sofia and Allen will be occupied promoting of their latest digital series, In My Dreams.
Allen told PEP.ph, "Ayan, siyempre bukod sa In my dreams aabangan niyo po yan, malapit na malapit na. Yung susunod neto si Sofie na yung magsasabi kasi…. Baka madulas ako."
Sofia added, "Baka mag spoil ka. Ayan, bukod po sa In My Dreams ipapalabas na this April sa youtube channels ng GMA Public Affairs."
In this romantic series, Sofia and Allen will portray the characters of Sari and Jecoy, respectively, who both yearn for true love. Fate will bring them together, but only in their dreams.
The project will also reunite them with Elijah Alejo, Tanya Ramos, and Cheska Fausto, their former co-stars from Luv Is: Caught in His Arms.
Additionally, Sofia and Allen will be preparing for a big project with the Kapuso network.
Sofia hinted, "Meron po kayong big surprise project na aabangan sa amin ni Allen.
"So, malaki siyang project na inihahanda ng GMA so surprise yun, pero mapapanuod niyo ulit kami soon on TV sa teleserye."
