BLACKPINK is still in our area!

K-pop sensation BLACKPINK has renewed their exclusive contract with their home agency, YG Entertainment.

It comes after months of speculations that the quartet are moving to other management companies for their solo activities after the four members' exclusive contracts with YG Entertainment ended in August 2023.

On Wednesday, December 6, 2023, YG Entertainment confirmed to South Korean media that all BLACKPINK members will continue their group activities with them.

"After careful discussions with BLACKPINK, we signed exclusive contracts for group activities based on deep trust," YG Entertainment said as per Soompi.com report.

YG Entertainment’s executive producer Yang Hyun Suk also expressed his happiness in continuing their relationship with the K-pop supergroup.

He said, "We are happy to be able to continue our relationship with BLACKPINK. BLACKPINK will continue to do their best to shine even brighter in the global music market as artists representing not only our agency but also K-pop, and we send our unwavering support and faith for their future steps."

Meanwhile, YG Entertainment has yet to make announcement regarding the four members’ contract for individual activities.

BLACKPINK is composed of Lisa, Jisoo, Jennie, and Rosé. They debuted in August 2016.

Since then, BLACKPINK has emerged as one of K-pop's most commercially successful female acts.

The group is known for their hit songs “Whistle," "Boombayah," "Kill This Love," "As If It’s Your Last,” "DDU-DU DDU-DU," “Lovesick Girls,” among others.

The group wrapped up their Born Pink World Tour in September, which included a stop in the Philippines.
