Australian model and swimwear designer Sahara Ray, who was once romantically linked to singer Justin Bieber, has died at the age of 34.
Sahara's death was confirmed by her family in a statement to media outlet TMZ on Monday, October 19, 2026.
“She passed away last night surrounded by family at the hospital. She was so loved,” her family said.
As of the initial reports, her cause of death had not been officially disclosed.
SAHARA'S HEALTH STRUGGLES
In 2024, Sahara revealed that she had been diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS).
According to the Cleveland Clinic, GBS is a rare condition that causes sudden numbness and muscle weakness, potentially affecting much of the body.
It occurs when the immune system responds abnormally and attacks the peripheral nerves.

Sahara's diagnosis came after she was involved in a serious car accident.
In one of her interviews, she shared that the condition had left her partially paralyzed and unable to walk independently, requiring her to use a wheelchair and a walker.
In her social media posts, she also spoke about the emotional challenges of living with the condition and her efforts to recover.
It has not been established whether her health issues contributed to her death.

SAHARA'S LATEST INSTAGRAM POST ABOUT HER DAUGHTER
Months before her death, Sahara welcomed her daughter, Snow, in January 2026.
She occasionally shared glimpses of motherhood on social media, expressing her love for her baby girl.
In one of her latest Instagram posts, dated July 20, Sahara shared photos of her daughter and described her as “my whole heart. baby Snow.”
SAHARA'S RUMORED PAST RELATIONSHIPS
Sahara gained public attention in 2016 when she was photographed spending time with Justin Bieber during a vacation in Hawaii.
Meanwhile, Justin is now married to model Hailey Baldwin, now known as Hailey Bieber.
Aside from Justin, Sahara was also previously romantically linked to Australian singer Cody Simpson in 2015.
However, she never publicly confirmed either relationship.

Beyond her rumored connections to Justin and Cody, Sahara built a career as a model and entrepreneur.
She later launched her own swimwear brand, Sahara Ray Swim, and established a following on social media.
