GMA-7 is known as the home network of some of the most successful teen stars of the '90s.
After all, it was the Kapuso network, along with VIVA Entertainment, that started the teen-oriented show craze in the Philippines, with the birth of TGIS: Thank God It's Sabado in 1995, and Anna Karenina in 1996.
Most of the stars included in this series reached phenomenal success as they went on headline box-office hits and top-rating teleseryes.
Eventually, these celebrities became bankable stars in showbiz. Some remained with the Kapuso network, while others transferred to ABS-CBN.
On the other hand, some of them migrated to other countries or explored other opportunities outside show business.

ANNE CURTIS spent her teenage years with GMA-7 when she was included in the cast of TGIS's second batch in 1997 after the success of her movie Magic Kingdom in the same year.

Anne's love team with Chubi eventually became one of the most popular tandems of their time, spawning different roles in movies and teleseryes produced by VIVA Entertainment.
Later on, she signed with the Kapamilya network and is considered as one of its big stars since 2004.
Anne has played several major roles in Kapamilya teleseryes such as Kampanerang Kuba (2005), Dyosa (2009), Green Rose (2011), and Dyesebel (2014).
She also did daring roles in the movies No Other Woman (2011) and A Secret Affair (2012).
Anne currently hosts ABS-CBN's noontime variety show It's Showtime, which started airing in 2009. She is also busy doing two movies with VIVA Films.
Just last June 2016, Anne reunited with Chubi and her other batchmates in TGIS.

DINGDONG DANTES was first introduced as Raphael Dantes in the second batch of TGIS. He was paired back then with Kim delos Santos and later on, with Antoinette Taus.
He was also part of the Sunday teen drama Anna Karenina and the all-male dance group Abztract Dancers.
GMA later on developed Dingdong into a dramatic actor and made him the perennial leading man of Tanya Garcia in the network-produced teleseryes Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga (2001) and Twin Hearts (2003).
Eventually, Dingdong earned the Primetime King status of the Kapuso network after starring in successful TV shows Encantadia (2005) and MariMar (2007).
Even though he married GMA-7's Primetime Queen Marian Rivera in 2014, Dingdong has not lost his luster as a TV and movie royalty.
These days, he is looking forward to starring in the second chapter of Alyas Robin Hood and two movies: Seven Sundays with Star Cinema and Aya and Sid (Not A Love Story) with VIVA Films.

While SUNSHINE DIZON started her career as a child actress in movies, she became more popular when she joined the VIVA Teen Barkada in the '90s. She was given meaty roles in the youth-oriented shows TGIS and Anna Karenina.
GMA-7 then honed her a dramatic actress, especially when she was chosen to play lead roles in their teleseryes Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin (2001) and Kung Mawawala Ka (2003).
When Sunshine got married in 2010, she temporarily took a break from show business.
When she made a comeback in 2013, Sunshine continued to star in different Kapuso teleseryes portraying mother roles.
Currently, Sunshine topbills GMA's successful daytime drama series Ika-6 Na Utos, which has been airing since December 2016.

ANTOINETTE TAUS also started as a child star, but blossomed into a teen actress in GMA-7 shows TGIS and Anna Karenina, which were co-produced by VIVA Television.
She and Dingdong Dantes made a formidable tandem given important assignments in movie hits like Honey, My Love, So Sweet and Kiss Mo 'Ko, both shown in 1999.
In 2000, Antoinette left show business to try her luck for a Hollywood career and eventually settled in the United States.
In 2014, Antoinette returned to the Philippines for good and resumed her career with her former manager VIVA Artists Agency and ABS-CBN. She became part of the teleseryes Bridges of Love (2015), Tubig at Langis (2016) and also did episodes with Maalaala Mo Kaya and Ipaglaban Mo.

KIM DELOS SANTOS was included in the original batch of TGIS in 1995 as part of its junior teen stars.
She eventually took the lead in the second batch of the teen-oriented show and was paired with Dingdong Dantes and later on, with Dino Guevarra.
Kim and Dino's onscreen tandem became such a hit that they were given major roles in the drama shows Anna Karenina (1996), Halik Sa Apoy (1997), and May Bukas Pa (2000). They were also given their solo film Ikaw Lamang in 1998.
In 2005, Kim decided to leave show business to migrate to the U.S. where she became a registered nurse.
Currently, the former teen actress is in the Philippines for a vacation.

DONNA CRUZ was considered as one of the most bankable VIVA teen stars during her time. She did several movies and albums.
In 1995, Donna topbilled GMA-7's first primetime series Villa Quintana, which was also co-produced by VIVA Television. She was paired with Keempee de Leon.
The series cemented her as a dramatic actress after the show received high ratings, coming close to ABS-CBN's TV Patrol which was the no. 1 primetime show during that time.
Donna was also paired with different leading men in movies such as Ian De Leon, Jao Mapa, and foreign actor Jason Everly.
She was also included in the cast of TGIS's primetime spin-off Growing Up in 1997.
However, in 1998, she decided to leave showbiz to marry her husband Yong Larazabal and settle down in Cebu.
In 2016, Donna returned to Manila to resume her singing career. She did an album with Star Music.
Her last TV appearance was a guesting in Regine Velasquez's defunct variety show Full House Tonight where she reunited with DoReMi co-stars Regine and Mikee Cojuangco.

ANGELU DE LEON started in ABS-CBN's Ang TV, but she got her biggest break as a teen actress in VIVA's youth-oriented series TGIS.
It was also in TGIS where she formed her phenomenal tandem with Bobby Andrews. Their love team was so successful that they had one solo teleserye and more than five movies.
In 1998, Angelu temporarily left show business when she got pregnant. However, she was able to return to showbiz and play major roles in teleseryes up to this day.
In late 2016, the actress faced a big challenge in her life when she was diagnosed again with Bell's Palsy. Fortunately, Angelu recuperated and returned to television.
The 37-year-old actress just recently finished her stint in the GMA-7 fantasy-series Mulawin vs. Ravena, where she reprised the role of Amy Austria.

BOBBY ANDREWS's first acting stint was in the youth-oriented series TGIS in 1995. Back then, he was paired with Angelu de Leon, who would be his perennial on-screen partner.
After his love team with Angelu got dissolved, Bobby focused on doing character roles in movies and teleseryes.
He was tapped to play father roles to popular teen actors of today such as Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes in Mara Clara (2010), Inigo Pascual in Wansapanataym: Wish Upon A Lusis (2015), and to Loisa Andalio in Wansapantaym: My Hair Lady (2016).
Currently, Bobby plays a mortal role in the GMA-7 fantaserye Mulawin vs. Ravena.

RICA PERALEJO also started in ABS-CBN's Ang TV, but she graduated as a teen actress in TGIS. She was paired first with Onemig Bondoc, and later on with Red Sternberg.
When the TGIS cast moved to Growing Up, Rica did not join them and instead, she transferred to ABS-CBN's Gimik.
She stayed with ABS-CBN and Star Magic and did several drama teleseryes.
To date, Rica is not active in showbiz to focus on her family life.

CIARA SOTTO started her career as a teen actress when she joined the second year of TGIS and served as an additional member to Angelu de Leon's barkada in the series.
After TGIS, she did several teleseryes where she played the kontrabida.
Ciara has not been so active in show business lately, but she had a recent guesting in Bet On Your Baby with her son Crixus.
She also attended the premiere night of the recently-shown movie Kita Kita last July 18.

RED STERNBERG was included in the original TGIS barkada in 1995. He was paired back then with Rica Peralejo.
Their love team also became popular that they starred in their own movie It's Cool Bulol in 1998.
After TGIS, Red did supporting roles in movies. His last appearance was in the teleserye Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga in 2001.
In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in 2015, Red said that he is now residing in Florida and currently works as a general manager in a hotel.

Aside from being a part of Maneuvers, MICHAEL FLORES became more popular when he joined the first batch of TGIS in 1995. Back then, he was paired with Raven Villanueva.
Michael then concentrated on doing character roles in teleseryes and movies.
His last appearance in a teleserye was in the Dingdong Dantes-starrer Alyas Robin Hood. He also just finished ABS-CBN's weekly series Wansapanataym: Annika Pintasera.

BERNADETTE ALLYSON was included in TGIS's primetime spin-off Growing Up before she became the leading lady in the adventure movie Silaw. She was paired with Jake Roxas, then with Michael Flores.
After doing teleseryes and movies, she married actor Gary Estrada in 2001 and temporarily took a break from doing shows.
She later on resumed her career doing mother roles to teen actors in teleseryes. Her last TV appearance was in the recently-concluded GMA primetime series Meant To Be.

POLO RAVALES is known as the love team of Sunshine Dizon in the teen-oriented shows TGIS and Anna Karenina.
When his tandem with Sunshine ended, Polo was given third wheel and kontrabida roles in GMA teleseryes.
From being a teeny-bopper, he became a full-grown hunk, allowing him to do daring independent movies.
In 2015, after being with GMA for more almost 20 years, he transferred to ABS-CBN and was included in several TV shows of the network.
He is currently part of the Kapamilya primetime series La Luna Sangre.

DINO GUEVARRA formed a successful team-up with Kim Delos Santos during the '90s when they were paired in TGIS and Anna Karenina.
The success of their tandem gave them their own movie Ikaw Lamang in 1998 and eventually, a real-life romance.
Dino temporarily left show business when he and Kim got married. He was able to resume his career when he won the GMA reality show 30 Days.
However, his marriage with Kim did not last and it was annulled in 2010.
Based on his Instagram post, Dino is now focused on being a family man with a new partner.
Regarding his career, his last TV program was the 2015 afternoon series Buena Familia.

KATYA SANTOS started as a tween star in Ang TV, but became a full-fledged teen actress in GMA's teen drama Anna Karenina, wherein she played the main villain to Antoinette Taus, Sunshine Dizon, and Kim Delos Santos.
Katya was also part of the teen movies Honey My Love So Sweet and Kiss Mo 'Ko, both shown in 1999.
As she slowly veered away from the tweetums image, she transformed herself into a sexy actress, topbilling movies such as Sex Drive (2003) and Keka (2004).
Eventually, Katya returned to ABS-CBN wherein she played different supporting roles. She used to play kontrabida roles in the shows Juanita Banana (2010) and Maria la del Barrio (2011).
Katya was also able to play kind-hearted roles in the shows Dream Dad (2014) and Born For You (2016).
Currently, the former sexy star has not been doing any teleseryes to focus on being a full-time mom.

AIZA MARQUEZ is one of Anne Curtis's contemporaries. They were batchmates in the youth-oriented shows TGIS, Anna Karenina, and H2K: Hati-Hating Kapatid.
Later on, Aiza transferred to ABS-CBN and Star Magic and was given a plum role in the 2003 drama series Darating Ang Umaga, where she was paired with Danilo Barrios.
Currently, Aiza now resides in New York. However, she continues to be a part of the Philippine entertainment industry even if she's not in the country.

Just last April, Aiza, along with her husband and some of their friends, produced the U.S. concert tour of Coco Martin, Pokwang, K Brosas, Pooh, and Chokoleit titled Coco X Funtastik 4.
In a recent interview with PEP.ph through Instagram direct messaging, she said that it was a reunion of sorts since she has been long-time friends with Coco during their commercial model days, and Pokwang whom she has worked with in the 2004 movie Bcuz of U.
She added that she also intends to visit the Philippines again together with her family in July 2018.

MAUI TAYLOR is also part of Anne and Aiza's VIVA Teen Barkada batch. She became a part of TGIS, Anna Karenina, and H2K: Hati-Hating Kapatid.
Everyone was shocked when her character in Anna Karenina, as the sister of Polo Ravales, was killed.
After a short hiatus in show business, she returned with a new image as part of the sexy group Viva Hot Babes.
She was able to do sexy films such as Ang Huling Birhen Sa Lupa and Gamitan.
Currently, Maui is already married with two sons.
She would also do occasional guestings on TV shows like D' Originals in July 2017.

MAYBELYN DELA CRUZ started as a child star in ABS-CBN shows, but spent her teenage years with GMA.
She was part of the junior teens in the first batch of TGIS in 1995. When she blossomed into a full-fledged teen actress, she became one of the main cast members of GMA-produced youth-oriented series Click in 1999.
Eventually, Maybelyn portrayed supporting roles in various Kapuso teleseryes.
Maybelyn married Michael Fernandez in 2008. Her last teleserye appearance was in 2013 for the remake of Anna Karenina.
Maybelyn just recently gave birth to a healthy baby girl last February 2017.
She has also entered politics and is already on her third term as city councilor of Dagupan.
In an interview with PEP.ph through Instagram direct messaging, Maybelyn has just finished her term as National President of the Philippine Councilors League.
With regards to her acting comeback, she hopes that she can still return when her newborn baby turns 1. But for now, she enjoys spending time with her baby girl "since almost 9 years in the making din siya."

After a few appearances in different movies, RYAN EIGENMANN joined the youth-oriented series Growing Up in 1998.
The actor was then given dramatic roles in different teleseryes of GMA and ABS-CBN. Ryan mostly played kontrabida roles in his TV shows.
In 2010, Ryan married his girlfriend Cathy Bordalba but still remained active in show business.
Currently, he plays the plastic surgeon Jeremy in GMA's afternoon series Impostora, starring Kris Bernal.
