Last January 2022, Manny Villar’s media company, Advanced Media Broadcasting System Inc. (ABMS), took over ABS-CBN frequencies.

When asked if he is open to work with AMBS, Piolo Pascual hinted that he's not closing his doors, but that he's only open to the idea if his schedule permits it.
"As long as hindi conflict sa shows with ABS-CBN and as long as the concept is good," the Kapamilya actor said.
He added, "Pero for now, there are so many shows that I'm working on, so I don't think I have the time for that in the near future. Ang labo!"
Director Cathy Garcia-Molina interjected, "Busy lang."
Piolo and Direk Cathy were interviewed by entertainment reporters, including PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), at the presscon of My Papa Pi.
TV COMEBACK ON ABS-CBN
After a year-long hiatus, Piolo will make his TV comeback via My Papa Pi, the newest sitcom on Kapamilya Channel.
The Ultimate Heartthrob’s last TV project was on TV5's Sunday Noontime Live, which aired from October 2020 to January 2021.
His last TV project with ABS-CBN was the sitcom Home Sweetie Home, which concluded in 2020.
In September 2021, Piolo signed a contract with ABS-CBN.
In My Papa Pi, Piolo will portray Pipoy, a single dad who wants a better future for his daughter.
He has a twin brother Popoy, played by comedian Pepe Herrera, who owns a store called “One More Tumbong” in a simple yet happy community at Mapag-asa Street.
Piolo's leading lady, Tera, portrayed by Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, is his brother’s one true love but has feelings for him.
The actor-producer will also top bill the upcoming Pinoy remake of the Koreanivela Flower of Evil alongside new Kapamilya actress Lovi Poe.
"Baka nga bago matapos yung taon, pumasok na ako sa rehab," Piolo quipped about his consecutive projects.
"But, I guess, that’s part of being an actor, you get to portray different roles, so mahirap na masarap.
"Masaya especially when you are with this kind of family na talagang ayaw na naming maghiwa-hiwalay maski pack-up na," he said.
TONDO'S TUMBONG
The sitcom aims to popularize Tumbong or large intestine soup, a popular dish in Tondo, not just among its local viewers but also globally.
"Sobrang sarap nito and isa sa mga reason gusto natin mapanood ng ibang bansa at mapasikat ang sarili nating tumbong.
"Kasi, di ba, yung iba, parang laging may food. So, tayo, di ba gusto din natin pero our very own large intestine soup?" Direk Cathy said.
Also joining the cast are versatile actor Joross Gamboa, celebrity comedienne Alora Sasam, Pinoy Big Brother alumna Madam Inutz, and young actor Anthony Jennings.
