Lexi Fernandez, the 28-year-old daughter of Maritoni Fernandez, is now engaged.
On Friday, April 7, 2023, Lexi used Instagram to share the news of her engagement to her non-showbiz partner, Charles Harry.
In the photos, Lexi is seen kissing her partner while showing off her engagement ring.
"YES," Lexi simply wrote with a ring emoji in the caption of her post.
The day after announcing her engagement to Charles Harry, Lexi posted an update on Instagram expressing her excitement about the next phase of their relationship.
She wrote, "God’s best. God’s time. Harry, I’ve never been more sure. Thank you for loving me the way you do. I’m so excited to spend the rest of my life with you [emoji] Omg I’m in my fiancé era [emoji]"
Maritoni shared her happiness for her daughter's engagement and showed her support for the couple through her own Instagram post.
She uploaded the couple's photo with the caption: "Sharing the good news with everyone… @itslexif Lexi said yes to @ohcharlesharry Harry! Mon @mondayrit and I couldn’t be happier. May your love continue to grow with each breath, my darlings. [emoji]"
Mon Dayrit is Maritoni's husband.
From the pictures posted on their Instagram accounts, it appears that Charles Harry proposed to Lexi at their family home in Hong Kong.
The posts suggest that the proposal was a private and intimate affair, surrounded by family and loved ones.
Numerous fans, followers, and fellow celebrities have congratulated the couple on their engagement.
Among them were Rita Daniela, Kim Rodriguez, Mayton Eugenio, Ynna Asistio, Ysabel Ortega, Joyce Ching, and Rachelle Ann Go, who expressed their excitement about their upcoming wedding.
Lexi and Charles have been dating discreetly, with little information available about their relationship.
Lexi's Instagram followers only became aware of their relationship when she uploaded a video of her fiancé in July 16, 2022.
LEXI FERNANDEZ: QUITTING SHOWBIZ
Lexi decided to slow down and take a hiatus from the entertainment industry after her appearance in the GMA-7 drama series Kakambal ni Eliana in 2013.
Since then, she refrained from accepting projects and focused on her studies instead.
On April 20, 2016, Lexi revealed in a Tumblr blog post titled Taking a Step Back From Spotlight that she had been secretly struggling with anxiety and depression during her time in showbiz, which led her to step out of the limelight and focus on other personal goals.
Her last TV appearance was in 2019 for an episode in the Kapamilya drama series The General's Daughter which stars Angel Locsin.
In the same year, she finished her Bachelor of Science in Child Development and Education degree from the University of Asia and the Pacific in Pasig City.
She later pursued her master's degree in Australia in February 2020.
