“Definitely they will stay.”
Ito ang tiniyak ni Dapitan City Mayor Bullet Jalosjos tungkol sa pananatili nina former Senator Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, at Joey de Leon bilang mga host ng longest-running noontime show sa Pilipinas, ang Eat Bulaga!.
Bukod kina Tito, Vic & Joey, mamamalagi o hindi mawawala sa Eat Bulaga! ang ibang Dabarkads gaya nina Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros, Ryan Agoncillo, Maine Mendoza, Ryzza Mae Dizon, at Allan K.
Si Jalosjos ang chief finance officer ng TAPE Inc., ang producer ng Eat Bulaga!.
Anak siya ni former House Representative Romeo Jalosjos, ang co-founder at nagmamay-ari ng seventy percent ng kompanya.
May basbas ng board of directors ang pagsasalita ni Bullet sa Fast Talk with Boy Abunda ngayong Miyerkules ng hapon, April 19, 2023, para mabigyang-linaw ang mga isyu at matuldukan na ang mga intriga at kontrobersiya tungkol sa Eat Bulaga!.
Pahayag ni Bullet: “I was given the green light by the board of the company to talk openly kasi I think we have the responsibility sa taumbayan as well.
“Ang dami pong speculations na ganito ang nangyari, and I don’t think it will ever stop unless someone address this concern.
"So now, we just want to assure the public, everyone else, that we’re coming up with... I can’t say new but a more improved Eat Bulaga!.
“I think we’re adding more shows, bigger prizes and more exciting segments at hindi mawawala ang TVJ [Tito, Vic, at Joey].”
EAT BULAGA! WILL NOT TRANSFER TO NET25
Pinabulaanan ni Bullet ang mga tsismis na lilipat ang Eat Bulaga! sa Net25 dahil hanggang sa 2025 pa ang kontrata ng TAPE Inc. sa GMA Network Inc.
“Hindi po totoo yon," sabi ni Bullet.
“I talk to the executives of GMA all the time. I have to make sure that they’re confident enough to know na yung changes na nangyayari sa Eat Bulaga! is still stable and sound."
MONEY ISSUE
Itinanggi naman ni Bullet ang isyung may problema sa pananalapi ang kanilang kompanya.
“Honestly, wala po. I think lumabas lang yung haka-haka or tsismis na yan because when we transition, siyempre you have to study everything.
"So, siguro a part of the speculations, nagkakaproblema kami sa pera, but I want to assure everyone that we are financially stable.
"The company is okay, we’re doing good, we pay our talents, so wala po talagang problema when it comes to money."
THE MEETING
Nang magtanong si Boy tungkol sa mga nangyari sa isang malaking pagpupulong na ipinatawag ni former Congressman Romeo Jalosjos noong February 28, 2023, malugod na nagkuwento si Mayor Jalosjos dahil dumalo rin siya sa naturang pagtitipon.
Lahad niya, “I was actually there during the meeting.
"Nagpatawag po ng meeting si Dad as chairman, Tito Tony [Tuviera] was there, TVJ was there, everyone... including the security guards, all the employees of TAPE.
“Dun napag-usapan na it’s about time na maging involved yung board [of directors] sa decisions sa loob ng kompanya.
"And it is also said there publicly that Tito Tony Tuviera would retire already, so tinanggap lang ng pamilya yung retirement ni Dad.
"And it’s one way of confirming to everyone that my brother, Jon-Jon Jalosjos [current president of TAPE Inc.] would now take over the daily operations of the show and my dad would still act as the active chairman.
"So, idinadaan pa rin sa kanya back then and, up to now, ang mga decision, yung show, portions… segments. Ganoon kadetalyado."
Tungkol sa TVJ, sabi ni Bullet: “They have always been a part and they will always be a part of Eat Bulaga!.
"So, kahit baligtarin natin, hindi talaga sila puwedeng mawala sa Eat Bulaga!.
“And Eat Bulaga! cannot live without TVJ. And I think, personally, TVJ also cannot live without Eat Bulaga!.
"And just to be fair also sa kompanya, sa pamilya, it’s also fair to know that even my father has also sacrificed even before when the show was not doing well.
“Nag-reinvest si Dad to ensure na masuwelduhan yung talents, nag-pick up naman, and that’s why we believe na talagang it’s a collective effort to [the] success of Eat Bulaga!.”
Inihayag din ni Bullet ang malaking pasasalamat at utang na loob na tinatanaw nila mula kina Tito, Vic & Joey at maging kay Tony Tuviera.
“Ang laki ng pasasalamat namin, ng utang na loob namin sa ating mga pillars — kina Tito, Vic & Joey and, of course, kay Tito Tony.
“They have always been a guide and they’ve been helping us.They’re continuing to assist and to guide us during our journey as the board of the company.”
