Aniya, “Sure, we have had to make a tough choice between Showtime and this particular production item. And it was just a purely business decision that we arrived at.

"The format is different, it was a blocktime arrangement with them [It's Showtime] and it has an expiry date of June 30.

“So nagkataon lang as a matter of serendipity that, you know, the thing blew up, and the arrangements with ABS...”

“We are proud of what we have done for them. And you know, we continue to have arrangements with them in terms of their content.

“I have not forsaken, again, our duty to them, what was done to them. We felt that we have to provide them a platform."

Dagdag pa niya, “So we are an inclusive group, hindi kami namimili. Kung sino ang deserving ng ano, nararapat na ipakita sa aming plataporma, whether it is Cignal TV, free-to-air, UHF, VHF, and even the mobile platforms of the group and our home broadband.

“We will do that. We will provide our content providers all the platforms that the group possess, whether now or in the future.”

PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN TV5 AND TVJ

Paahayag ni MVP, “The format under which we have made arrangements with them, with the Dabarkads here, is such that they are not talents anymore but they are part-owners of the content they produce.

“Which means, that’s the very important point of our group, e, of First Pacific Group, that we want the talents who work for us, with us, are part-owners of the business.

Dagdag pa ni MVP, “So, we cannot fire them because they’re not just talents, but they’re co-owners of the business that they are producing.

“So, they’re part of the big creative process and they should be owners. And they should be acknowledged and treated as such. And we will treat them that way.”

"IT DESERVES A HOME"

Ayon pa kay MVP, “And another bit of it, I must say, it’s got to be said, is that we don’t want to get involved with the polemics of what has happened before. That’s not our job, right?

“But we felt obligated. It was part of our duty that if they’re looking for a home, and for such an iconic entertainment phenomenon, it deserves a home.

“And it is our obligation to provide them a home, right? Because that’s what the Filipinos love. It’s as simple as that.”
