Dahilan ba iyon kaya wala pang ginagawang bagong movie si Andrew E.? E, ang live entertainment, dinadayo ng mga tao.

“Energy ng tao na they wanna be entertained for quite some time. They were waiting for this.
“Why? Because it was two to three years of pandemic, e. So, di ba, nasikil yung tao, and they were imprisoned by this kind of ano.
“A hardship in life na gusto nilang kumawala na, ‘Let us enjoy naman. Kasi, tatlong taon tayo nagtiis na na-engulf tayo sa pandemic. So let us entertain ourselves. Let us enjoy ourselves.’
“And probably, this is the time, this is the right time na nakaahon na rin sila. Then they have plenty of resources para, you know, to entertain themselves too at the same time.”
Magtatatlumpu’t apat na taon na si Andrew E. sa local music industry. Disyembre 1990 nang i-release ang unang single niyang "Humanap Ka Ng Panget."

Ano ang masasabi niya sa mga baguhang rapper ngayon? Updated ba siya sa Pinoy rappers? If so, ano ang impression niya sa mga ito?
Natigilan sandali si Andrew E. bago sumagot: “Konti. I see them on TikTok. Konti, I see them on Facebook. And a little bit konti, I hear them on Spotify.
“Pero what I can say is… you know, honestly, to each his own. Kung ano yung style nila, I have nothing to say.
“I wish them good luck and, at the same time, you know. Pero always and always in my mind, natutunan ko ito way long ago, hanggang ngayon nasa bulsa ko pa rin, is…
“You know, noon nga, nung araw, I marked these words for me. Nnung araw na wala pang social media, di ba?
“Imagine-in mo, at that time if analytically I can rate the celebrities or probably the artists coming out at that time — meron lang silang six months.
“With the help of TV, radio, movie or magazine, and the rest, yung mga tinatawag ng trimedia nung araw. Without cellphone of course, without social media.
“Six months lang ang itatagal ng artist. Six months lang. Walang tumatagal nang ano. Why? Because every after six months, nagpapalit. Ang flavor ng Pilipino, nagpapalit.
“Every after six months, there comes another entity, there comes another celebrity. There comes another hit song. There comes another hitmaker. There comes another hit group.
“So six months. Then after that, palit again in one year. Imagine-in mo ngayon, may social media. E much faster!
“It is much faster. Dati nga walang cellphone, six months. Ngayon, one week. One week. Ganun kabilis.
“Kapag lumampas ka ng one week, then asahan mo, kailangan mong lumampas ng one month.
“Pag nakalampas ka ng one month at sikat ka pa rin, asahan mo, kailangan mong lumampas ng two months. By month. By next year.
“At kung nakalampas ka miraculously in one year, ibig sabihin nun, tanggap ka na ng Pilipino.
“Pero basically, you have to battle that kind of achievement. Kailangan lumampas ka ng one week, one month, six months, one year para masabi mo na tanggap ka.
“So for me, good luck with everyone. And make sure na yung mga nakikinig sa yo, nag-a-appreciate sa yo, yung mga bumibili ng merchandise mo, or nagda-download sa yo…
“Make sure, suklian mo sila ng kabutihan. Suklian mo sila ng fan-based love. Kasi pag hindi nila naramdaman yun, papasok ka sa one week, out ka na.
“Papasok ka dun. At lalu’t lalo na ngayon, you know, iba-iba ngayon ang society. Iba-iba.
“There’s the Gen Z, there’s the Gen X, there’s the Gen Y. There’s the Gen whatever. Meron pang K-Pop, may J-Pop. May kung ano mang pop, di ba?
“Whatever. May kanya-kanya. May panlalaki, may pambabae. May pang-in between. Each and every, each and every, mayroong sangay.
“So, dun sa sangay na yun, you have to capture them. And if you can’t capture them, you have to capture some.

“That will happen maybe… collaboration maybe, mahirap i-guarantee,” pagtatapat ni Andrew E.
“Kasi kanya-kanya ring may lakad ang mga artist, 'no. But when it comes to… of course, to the Ticket1 Andrew E. major concert, there will be.
“Guaranteed, there will be artists but, of course, we are not in liberty to say that for now. It will come.
“We will release it when the time comes na puwede na kaming ibahagi sa tao kung sino man sila, whatever.
“But then, yung sinabi mong kung meron bang chance mag-collab, yes, there can be.
“And one impending collaboration would be somebody in a movie with me. And that will be a member of a J-Pop group.
“Yeah, one member of a J-Pop group na katumbas ng Blackpink sa Korea. So, yung katumbas nila sa Japan, isang member dun, would be starring with me in a movie, an upcoming movie next year.
"So, yun ang inaabangan ko…”
