Kinumpirma ni James Reid na babalik siya sa pag-arte pagkatapos ng ilang taong pamamahinga sa paggawa ng pelikula at serye.
Matapos mabuwag ang JaDine, ang love team nila ni Nadine Lustre, nag-focus si James sa kanyang musika at sa talent management company niyang Careless.
Marami ang nanghinayang nang talikuran ni James ang pag-arte at piliing magsolo.
Sa panayam ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) kay James sa nakaraang Eddy's Awards Night na ginanap sa grand ballroom ng Marriott Hotel noong July 7, 2024, hindi tinago ng singer-actor na na-miss niya ang kamera at pag-arte.
"I miss this, I miss the cameras."
His last acting project was the film Miss Granny, which was shown in cinemas in 2019.
On TV, his last TV series was Till I Met You, which aired in 2017.
JAMES REID ON GOING BACK TO LOVE TEAM
Paglilinaw naman ni James, kahit na-miss niya ang pag-arte ay hindi ito nangangahulugan na bukas siyang pumasok ulit sa isang love team.
"Love team? I don't know about that, but acting, definitely.
"I always said I was planning to go back to acting after I did explore music.
"I have a new EP coming out and I'm very excited. I've written also in Tagalog so I'm very excited.
"Yah, there will be movie projects and TV projects coming soon.
"We'll see but no love team."
Ayon pa kay James, wala naman siyang pinagsisihan sa naging desisyon niya na mag-pokus muna sa musika.
"I really wanna to take the time to just discover myself through music.
"For me in the past couple of years, I was able to discover myself as a musician and also business and figure out what I really want.
"I think I came to really good place. I'm very happy where I am right now. I am excited to take all my projects."

Isa sa talent ng Careless ay si Liza Soberano, na mas kilala na ngayon bilang Hope Soberano.
Proud naman si James sa mga magagandang oportunidad na nakukuha sa ngayon ng aktres.
"It's great, I call her Hope now. Liza, she knows exactly what she wants.
"It's blessed me managing her, but just supporting her, backing her up.
"Right now she's in LA, auditioning, taking more projects and I'm very proud of her."
Nilinaw din ni James na hindi iniwan ni Liza ang Philippine showbiz para sa Hollywood.
"Everyone has a dream. I wouldn't say Liza left Philippines show business. She's doing both and I'm proud that she's been able to push Filipinos internationally."
Sa tanong kung may posibilidad ba na magkasama sila sa isang proyekto ni Liza, positibo ang naging sagot ni James.
"I think there's a big possibility, yeah, I think there's a big possibility that it can happen."
