This is the first one since parting ways with ex-husband Tom Rodriguez.
The photo, uploaded on Instagram, featured a candle-lit dinner scene with a mystery man.
Only the lower half of his face—specifically, a smiling mouth and chin—was visible as he scanned an orange menu booklet.
A wine glass sat between them, and the dinner plates were still bare, suggesting they had just sat down.
Carla kept the caption short and sweet: “Hi [smiling face emoji]”
While the man’s identity remains under wraps, netizens are excited to see what lies ahead for the 39-year-old actress.

Carla has kept a low profile since her separation from fellow Kapuso star Tom Rodriguez.
However, 2024 and 2025 marked significant milestones in her journey of reclaiming peace, purpose, and personal agency.
In her Fast Talk With Boy Abunda interview aired on June 28, 2024, Carla spoke candidly about the emotional aftermath of their failed marriage.
She confirmed that their separation had been legally recognized by a local court through a foreign divorce decree, and that she and Tom had not spoken since.
At the time, Carla revealed that she is not currently prioritizing romantic relationships due to her busy schedule.
Nonetheless, she remains open to possibilities, saying, "Ayokong hanapin or habulin. Whatever comes na lang po along the way. We'll see where it'll take me."
She also noted that to love again does not necessarily equate to romantic love immediately: "But you know, basically to love life again. To love where I am at this point in life."
Carla explained losing this ability when she went through the separation, reasoning, "It comes with pain, yung heartbreak. Kasama po yun.
"Medyo mahirap pong maging masaya pa rin, optimistic, and mahalin pa rin ang buhay, kapag po talagang malalim at matindi po yung pinagdadaanan.
"But as long as alam niyo pong temporary lang po yun, it will pass, then you'll be okay po."

Meanwhile, Tom offered fans a rare peek at his new family in early June 2025, though he respected their privacy by keeping faces hidden.
“Some treasures in life are too sacred to put on full display. This isn’t about hiding…it’s about holding,” he wrote.
Undergoing egg-freezing process
Carla began a new chapter centered around self-preservation and future planning.
By March 2025, Carla publicly shared her decision to undergo egg freezing.
“My journey towards egg freezing has been a transformative experience,” she wrote in a March 30 Instagram post.
“One that required a lot of research, emotional preparation, and support.”
She expressed gratitude for Conceive IVF Manila and their team—led by Medical Director Dr. Ednalyn Ong-Jao—for their warmth, professionalism, and privacy-first approach.
From consultations and daily injections to blood tests and procedures, Carla documented her experiences with transparency and humility.
On April 2, after over a month of medications and prep work, she underwent her first successful egg retrieval.
Two oocytes were cryopreserved, and despite the physical toll and weight gain, she remained hopeful and determined.
“I had lost count of how many daily injections I had to endure,” the video's caption read.
“If at first you don't succeed, try and try again! It certainly tested my patience and faith,” she admitted, “but I’m beyond thankful.”
A few days later, on April 5, Carla was already back at the clinic, preparing for a second cycle.
She noted the sense of community she felt while waiting—surrounded by couples and individuals all sharing the same longing to build a family.
“It’s heartwarming to see couples who yearn to have a baby,” she reflected.
“Different journeys, different backgrounds, but we all share the same dream.”
