Nagpaliwanag si Maine Mendoza tungkol sa pagkakaungkat ng tunay niyang naramdaman para kay Alden Richards noong kasagsagan ng AlDub loveteam nila sa Kalyeserye ng Eat Bulaga!.

Sa latest episode ng podcast ng Eat Bulaga! TVJ sa YouTube na may pamagat na "Tamang Panahon Ep. 5: ANG TAMANG PANAHON," isang fan ang nagtanong kung na-in love ba talaga noon si Maine kay Alden.
Naging matapat si Maine sa pagsagot sa tanong.
Saad niya: "Ako, na-in love talaga ko kay Alden, vocal naman ako dun. Kahit sino naman yung magtanong sa akin, sasagutin ko naman nang diretso.
"Na-in love ako sa kanya pero hindi siya nanligaw. Walang ganun.
"Alam din niya, kasi nga vocal ako sa lahat ng tao, pati kay Alden mismo.
"Alam ni Alden yun, sinabi ko naman sa kanya rekta, pero hindi siya nanligaw. Friends lang kami."
Direkta rin daw tinanong noon si Maine si Alden kung ano ang nararamdaman nito sa kanya.
Sagot daw ni Alden sa kanya: “Di ko pwedeng sabihin sa iyo kasi mawawala yung magic.”
Ang pahayag na ito ni Maine ay umani ng iba't ibang reaksiyon mula sa netizens, partikular na sa AlDub fans.

MAINE MENDOZA HOPES clash between fans on both sides would end
Sa pamamagitan ng X (dating Twitter) ngayong Martes, August 19, 2025, sinabi ni Maine na hindi niya akalaing ang pagbabahagi ng istorya nila ni Alden ay pagmumulan ng kontrobersiya.
Ang buong akala raw niya ay naka-move on na ang lahat sa AlDub at sa Kalyeserye.
Umasa rin daw si Maine na kahit papaano ay matatapos na ang bangayan ng fans, bagamat wala pa ring tigil at patuloy ang "hate train" na nakaumang sa kanya.
Panimula ni Maine: "Okay, so about the last podcast episode.. Una sa lahat, I didn’t think the part about my story with Alden would spark controversy, let alone be a big deal, considering that everyone had already moved on from Kalyeserye and AlDub.
"From the start, I hoped the clashes between fans on both sides would end, at least, even though the hate train aimed at me was nonstop then and apparently still remains so."
Ang punto raw ng kanilang podcast ay pagkuwentuhan ang mga bagay na hindi nabunyag o nakita ng publiko sa kabuuan ng takbo ng Kalyeserye.
Wala raw dahilan upang hindi isama si Alden sa usapan, kahit wala ito physically, dahil naging malaking bahagi ng Kalyeserye ang Kapuso actor.
Saad ni Maine: "The point of our podcast is to look back on Kalyeserye and to discuss and share behind-the-scenes stories—the untold ones—and that can include personal experiences, narratives, and sentiments.
"I believe it’s acceptable to reflect and openly discuss them for this podcast, especially now that it’s been a decade and all is well between the individuals involved, particularly me and Alden.
"There is no reason to exclude him from the story/our stories, despite his absence, because he was a big part of Kalyeserye—and it would have felt strange to leave him out."

MAINE BELIEVES IT'S NOT A BAD THING TO SHARE A PERSONAL STORY
Wala raw sa intensiyon ni Maine na pumukaw ng anumang kritisismo o magpasimula ng negatibong usapin nang ibahagi niya ang anekdotang iyon tungkol sa kanila ni Alden.
Natanong lamang daw siya at kanya naman itong sinagot.
Hindi rin daw naisip ni Maine na may dulot na masamang epekto ang pagkukuwento niya ng katotohanan base sa kanyang kaalaman.

"I believe it’s not a bad thing to share a personal story related to the question and topic, as long that it’s based on facts.
"There was no malice or ill intent behind my sharing that story about myself, him, and us.
"There are countless other stories I’ve kept to myself and chosen not to share."

"And why is it when we do, some people resort to personal attacks meant to demean and harm?
"I get that we have supporters who aren’t really fans of the other, but why the hostility?
"Why pit a woman against a man, as if there’s a competition for who’s more 'successful'?
"Success, in this sense, is ridiculously measured and defined by career 'achievements' as if our lives revolve solely around our jobs.
"In the grand scheme of things, what is really there to prove? All the hatred and comparisons—what for, really?"

Sa huli, ayon kay Maine, halos lahat ay naka-move on na mula sa AlDub years at maaari naman daw itong balikan nang may payapang puso.
Wala raw punto ang pagpapairal ng galit at negatibo sa ating mga buhay.
Pagpapaalala ni Maine: "All is well among the dabarkads. We’ve all moved on, and the past remains there. We can revisit and reflect on the good and the bad with a peaceful heart.
"Ten years on, we are all living the lives we chose, and I hope we can keep moving forward without nurturing hate—because what’s the point?
"What do we gain from hostility? Again, in the grand scheme of things, what truly needs proving? Find your own answer.
"Let’s live for what makes us happy and make life less complicated and chaotic. Life is short.
"When our time comes and memories flash before our eyes, don’t let yours be filled the moments you spewed negativity online.
"Don’t let it be your only contribution in this life. Ang dami pang pwedeng gawin sa buhay bukod sa pagiging tambay sa internet at pagiging hater. There’s another world of better things to do. Leave a better trace."
Nakiusap din si Maine na huwag batuhin ng galit si Alden dahil sa mga nasabi nito noon tungkol sa kanilang naging relasyon.
"P.S. Please don’t throw hate on Alden. Regardless of what he meant by his words, it was really for the best for both of us and our situation at that time. Don’t read much into it."
