Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi extended financial assistance to victims of the recent earthquakes in Cebu and Davao Oriental.
Celeste’s beauty company Asul, which she co-founded with British philanthropist Jonathan Sterling, initially donated PHP5 million through the non-governmental organization Angat Buhay Foundation to support relief operations in Cebu.

"On September 30, Cebu was struck by a 6.9-magnitude earthquake, leaving families displaced and communities in urgent need of food, water, and shelter.
"Asul, through Celeste Cortesi and Jonathan Sterling, donated PHP5,000,000 in partnership with Angat Buhay Foundation to aid relief operations on the ground—from hygiene kits and food packs to cash aid and medical missions.
"But the work doesn’t stop here. If you’d like to extend your support further, you can also help through the Provincial Government of Cebu, Project Revive PH, and UP Cebu.
"Together, we rise with Cebu,” the post on the brand's page read.

Cebu was placed under a state of calamity following the 6.9-magnitude earthquake last September 30, which affected nearly 170,000 families in Central Visayas.

Celeste donates another PHP5 million to Davao Oriental
Celeste and Jonathan also donated another PHP5 million for victims of the twin offshore earthquakes—measuring magnitudes 7.4 and 6.9—that struck Davao Oriental on Friday, October 10.
This time, they coordinated with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), as announced on Asul’s official Instagram page.
"A 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental this morning, displacing families and leaving communities in urgent need of aid.
"In response, Celeste Cortesi and Jonathan Sterling, together with Asul, have extended support of PHP5,000,000 through the Philippine Red Cross to help rescue and relief efforts in Davao.
"Let’s continue standing together for our countrymen," the post read.
Celeste launched her beauty brand Asul in October 2024.

In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Celeste said, "This is my first brand. It’s a lip-care brand and we came up with our first product, which is a lip plumper."
She added, "Actually, I’ve been working on this for two years, right after Miss Universe. I’m so proud that it’s finally happening—I just love it so much."
