Golden Screen Awards now has 30+ Dekada Awardees

The Golden List just got a little longer!

Nadagdagan pa ang honorees sa Golden Screen Awards: (GSA) Dekada Awards 2026 edition ng Multi-Media Press Society of the Philippines (MMPRESS).

Kung last time ay lagpas twenty na ang bilang ng mga pararangalan, ngayon ay umabot na ito sa mahigit trenta. Yaman din lamang na isang dekada (2014-2024) namahinga ang Golden Screen Awards, itodo na ang pamimigay ng tropeo sa mga karapat-dapat.

MMPRESS decided to give honors to actors, directors, and producers who gained the most acclaim both here and abroad in the past 10 years, bago muling ganapin ang regular edition ng GSA. The 12th Golden Screen Awards, honoring the films shown in 2025, is scheduled to happen before the year ends.

Ang criteria for the actors: dapat ay nanalo ng two or more acting awards from any of the five most established and industry-recognized award-giving bodies in showbiz, namely: Gawad Urian (by the Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino), FAMAS (Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences) Awards, FAP or Luna Awards (by the Film Academy of the Philippines), Star Awards (by the Philippine Movie Press Club or PMPC), and The Eddys (by the Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors or SPEEd).

Also considered ay yung mga nagwagi ng awards from legit international film festivals especially, but not limited to, the so-called "A-list" filmfests.

TWO-TIME DEKADA AWARDEES

It’s worth noting na apat sa 2026 honorees ang ginawaran na rin ng Dekada Awards ng GSA back in 2013. Sila yung mga nagwagi ng two or more Golden Screen Awards on the first decade of GSA. Ang mga ito ay sina Maricel Soriano, Aga Muhlach, Dennis Trillo, at Judy Ann Santos.

Among the 32 Dekada Awardees this year, si Dennis ang bukod-tanging tatanggap ng dalawang tropeo. The 45-year-old Kapuso actor will be honored for his acclaimed performances in Felix Manalo (2015) and Green Bones (2024).

MMPRESS TROPHIES

Speaking of trophy, MMPRESS is taking the first step towards sustainability with its trophies that are all made from upcycled and repurposed materials.

The group commissioned a talented Ivatan artist who constructed an eco-friendly piece of art from scrap metal, used wires, screws, GI sheet, GI pipe, driftwood and other discarded materials.

Ang Golden Screen Awards’ Dekada Awards 2026 ay gaganapin sa October 4, Sunday, 6:00 PM at the MMFF Auditorium, 5th Floor of the MMDA Head Office in Pasig City.

Note: Only the Lead Actors and Actresses were considered, that’s why the late multi-awarded actor, Ricky Davao who was included in the first batch (Best Supporting Actor for Fuccbois) fell off the list.
