Lindsay Custodio, a popular teen actress from the 90s, has made a surprising return to the limelight with a bombshell announcement: she intends to file a lawsuit against her current spouse, Frederick Cale.
It can be recalled that around the same time two years ago, she made headlines for tying the knot with Frederick.
The recent turn of events has sparked interest—prompting a closer look at her early steps in showbiz, career trajectory, and the personal reason for why it had to take a back seat.

She is a practicing Catholic and native of Alabang, Muntinlupa City, Philippines.
CAREER
Lindsay's TV debut
Lindsay first appeared on TV through the hit variety show That's Entertainment, headed by the late German "Kuya Germs" Moreno.
But, it wasn't before joining the youth-oriented variety show Ang TV in 1992 that she eventually became a household name.

Inspired by its foreign counterpart The Mickey Mouse Club, Ang TV became the claim to fame for other prominent figures in the entertainment scene who are still active today, including Claudine Barretto, Jolina Magdangal, Paolo Contis, Angelica Panganiban, siblings Camille and John Prats, Shaina Magdayao, Jay Mnaalo, Victor Neri, and more.
As a Star Magic baby, Lindsay went on to star in other Kapamilya shows, like the sitcom Palibhasa Lalake (1994-96), drama series Maalala Mo Kaya (1997), T.G.I.S. (1997), and Growing Up (1997).
FILMOGRAPHY
In 1995, Lindsay was cast in the romantic dance film Hataw Na.
She then appeared in the films Kristo, Ang TV: The Adarna Adventure, and Milyonaryong Mini in 1996.
Three years later in 1999, she played Daisy in the comedy film D'Sisters: Nuns of the Above and an uncredited role in Desperado: Bahala na ang Itaas.
SINGING CAREER
Lindsay launched her debut album My First in 1996, while her second album New Horizons was released in 1998.

Early this year, PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) bumped into Lindsay at the VIVA office, where she told columnist Jojo Gabinete her plan of making a showbiz comeback.

PERSONAL LIFE
Relationships
Lindsay's marital history is notable for its highs and lows.
Her first marriage was to Julius Caesar Platon II, former vice mayor of Tanauan, Batangas.
Their union that lasted from December 2000 until his untimely death due to a heart attack while travelling on South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) in Sucat, Muntinlupa on November 19, 2018.
This marriage blessed them with two children.
Three months after Julius's death, Lindsay dedicated a post that signified she was still mourning over the loss.
"We cannot always understand the Lord’s plan for us but what I have always believed in is His everlasting love and power," she wrote.
"He has blessed me so much with a love like no other and I will forever be grateful for the time I was given with my beloved Julius.
"His sudden passing has left an irreplaceable void in our lives but we find comfort in knowing he has returned into the arms of our Creator.
"During his time here with us he was the most kindhearted, loving, and amazing husband, father, son, brother, and friend.
"His legacy will forever live on in all the wonderful things he’s done in service not only for his family but also as a public servant."

On May 2, 2022, Lindsay began a new chapter in her life by marrying businessman Frederick Cale in a civil wedding ceremony held in Muntinlupa.
Their second wedding was a more formal affair, held at Our Lady of Victories Church in New Manila, Quezon City, on May 13, 2022, coincidentally falling on Friday the 13th.

Lindsay's kids
Both of her children with Julius excel academically and demonstrate a strong inclination towards sports.
Sean Christopher Custodio Platon graduated from La Salle Green Hills Class of 2019. From there, he enrolled in De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde to pursue his college education.
Lindsay's unica hija, Charisse Marianne Custodio Platon, used to compete in gymnastics and is a consistent academic excellence awardee from Muntinlupa Science High School.
Lawsuit against SECOND husband
Republic Act 9262, also known as the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act, is the legal action that Lindsay is set to file against her Canada-based husband, Frederick.
In an exclusive report by PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) on May 5, 2024, Lindsay affirmed her decision to pursue legal action against Frederick for the alleged abuses she endured.
She only expressed her desire to dispel the public's misconception that she and Frederick are still together, particularly since the businessman has been residing in Canada for an extended period.
Frederick returned to the Philippines in April 2023 and stayed until May 2023, in time for their first wedding anniversary.
However, disagreements led Lindsay to cease communication with him on June 12, 2023, Philippine Independence Day.
Despite their differences, they remain legally married.
As far as healing goes, Lindsay said she views the lawsuit as the initial step toward healing from the emotional toll of their marriage.
Before finalizing her complaint, Lindsay and Frederick met in the U.S. to discuss their issues.
Ultimately, Lindsay chose to end the relationship, citing emotional pain and a decline in self-esteem as factors.
