One thing Winwyn Marquez has learned about being a mom is the importance of taking occasional breaks.
The beauty queen believes she is most effective in caring for her partner "Rayn" and daughter Luna when she feels confident and happy.
Winwyn first introduced Rayn to her social-media followers on Christmas day of 2023, but his full name is yet to be revealed.
In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in September 2024, she underlines, "If you don't take care of yourself, especially your mental health, it's hard to take care of a child.
"Let's face it. So, you have to have a pause, you have to have a break."
Winwyn also feels fortunate to have her family and her partner sharing the responsibility of childcare.
"And I'm very fortunate na I have family, my partner is there to take care of my child and split the responsibility with me, di ba?"

Winwyn Marquez on "Mom Guilt"
Winwyn acknowledges the "mom guilt" that often comes with taking time for self-care.
She says, "It's natural to feel guilty. Mom guilt will always be there.
"So, they don't have to feel bad about it if they do feel guilty. Kasi it's normal.
"But, at the end of the day, you also have to take care of yourself to take care of your child.
"Kasi once na maubos ka, ma-zero ka, paano maalagaan yung anak mo?"
She also suggests blocking out unsolicited comments from others: "I-close nang nila yung ears nila.
"Kasi di ba may mga tao ngayon, 'Ay, nagga-ganyan ka? Sino nagbabantay sa anak mo? Sino nagga-ganyan?'"

Winwyn Marquez’s WORKOUT AND FITNESS ROUTINE
Winwyn embraces self-care by leading a healthy and active lifestyle.
"I'm very active in working out. I'm very active sa mga, siyempre, healthy eating. So, doon ako nagpo-focus ngayon."
She makes it a priority to fit in exercise whenever possible.
"Kunyari hindi ako magka-class, I run. Pagtulog yung anak ko or nap time, so laging nakakasingit kahit papano."

Winwyn, a fitness enthusiast, was particularly active during the pandemic, taking up CrossFit, a fitness regimen combining High-Intensity Interval Training, Olympic weightlifting, plyometrics, and more.
After giving birth in April 2022, Winwyn resumed a full-body workout routine at home, including 20 burpees, 30 push-ups, 30 to 40 sit-ups, and 50 squats.
It took her nearly two years to regain her fitness rhythm.
In a June 15 post, she wrote, "It took me about 2 years to consistently get back into my fitness rhythm.
"This mama is feeling better and better every day."
She looks incredibly fit, with her tummy as flat as it was during her reign as Reina Hispanoamericana in 2017.
What is Inferno Hot Pilates?
Recently, she's taken up Inferno Hot Pilates, which has been instrumental in helping her shed the pregnancy weight.

"Actually, I don't do regular reformer pilates. I do the, it's called Inferno Hot Pilates (IHP).
"It's more of body weight."
Winwyn elaborates, "But, yung, ano niya, discipline niya is pilates naman. So, high intensity... Parang HIIT training siya. Tapos ano siya, heated room siya."
Created by Hungarian-born pilates instructor Gabriella Walters in 2009, Inferno Hot Pilates is a “high intensity, low-impact workout performed on a yoga mat at 95-99°F (35°C) with 45% humidity.”
Its benefits include building lean muscles, burning fats, strengthening the core, improving circulation, and increasing flexibility.
The results are "super fast," claimed some of its practitioners in Las Vegas, USA, where Gabriella opened her first studio.
Winwyn loves attending inferno hot Pilates classes at Vida Yoga Studio, which has locations in Alabang, Muntinlupa, and Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
For beginners, Vida Yoga Studio offers a first-time visit rate of PHP800 and an unlimited 8-day pass for PHP2,500.
