Stand-up comedian Ate Gay revealed that her doctors recently detected a new lump on his neck and this prompted him to undergo further medical treatment.
In a Facebook post on July 9, 2026, Ate Gay uploaded a photo taken during a hospital visit and shared the latest development about his health condition.

"Nakitaan ako ng bukol sa ibaba ng leeg ko malapit sa balikat na agad nilang inagapan gamit ang CyberKnife 1 (5 sessions)," he wrote.
CyberKnife is a robotic, non-invasive radiation therapy system used to treat certain tumors and other medical conditions.

He went on to express his gratitude to his "angels" and the doctors at Asian Hospital and Medical Center, who allowed him to continue performing despite the detection of the new lump.
Ate Gay wrote, "Salamat sa pagmamahal ng anghel ko at ng Asian Hospital sa aking doktora, Dra. Jaeme Fernandez, Dr. Arzadon, Dr. TJ Ngelangel, Dra. Corazon Ngelangel.
"Hindi naman maapektuhan ang energy ko dahil dito. Pinapayagan nila ako mag-perform [nang] bonggang-bongga."'
ATE GAY'S CANCER JOURNEY
Ate Gay's health update came a little over a week after he shared that the lumps on his neck and nose had disappeared based on the results of his Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan.

In September 2025, Ate Gay first disclosed that he had been diagnosed with mucoepidermoid carcinoma.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, mucoepidermoid carcinoma is a rare type of salivary gland cancer that typically presents as a slow-growing lump beneath the skin.

Since then, the comedian has regularly shared updates about his treatment, hospital visits, and recovery on social media while asking for continued prayers.
