Abala ngayon si Alexa Ilacad sa taping ng bagong teleserye niya para sa ABS-CBN.
“Taping po for my new teleserye, Pira-Pirasong Paraiso, which is malapit na pong ipalabas, so that’s what’s keeping me busy.
“Monday-Wednesday-Friday po yung taping namin, and, at the same time, ngayon po focused kami on promos, so kung saan-saan kami napapadpad to promote our show,” umpisang kuwento ni Alexa sa grand opening ng Manila Diamond Studio sa 5th floor ng EDSA Shangri-La Plaza Mall sa Mandaluyong City noong July 8, 2023.
Kuwento pa ni Alexa, naiiba ang kanyang papel sa upcoming TV project.
“Well, it’s a much more matured version of Alexa that you’ve ever seen, not matured necessarily meaning sexy or anything like that, but more on the depth of the character.
“So I play Angela, I’m a journalist, so I fight for the truth, very hardworking boss lady, I would say.”

At hindi lamang sa kanyang TV role magiging journalist si Alexa kundi maging sa tunay na buhay!
Nangyayari ito sa TV Patrol two weeks ago.
Lahad niya, “Honestly… actually I’m going to try to be a Star Patroller to promote Pira-Pirasong Paraiso!"
At the time of this interview, hindi pa niya na-i-experience kung paano maging broadcaster kaya may konting kaba raw siyang nararamdaman.
“I’m nervous and also excited, it’s something na people would always tell me na, ‘Bakit hindi mo i-try, parang bagay kang newscaster’, etc… So sabi ko okay let’s try, try lang, I’m not sure if I’m going to fall in love with it, but yeah, I’m excited to try.”

ALEXA ADMITS FASCINATION with JEWELRY
Samantala, bagay maging endorser si Alexa ng isang jewelry brand dahil mahilig daw talaga siya sa alahas kumpara sa designer at mamahaling bags.
Aniya, “Actually, bags not so. More on jewelry, lately lang po ako nagkaroon ng hilig or knowledge about bags.”
Ang kapwa niya aktres at endorser na si Jessy Mendiola ang rason ng pagkahilig ni Alexa sa alahas.
Saad pa niya, “Actually, si Ate Jessy rin talaga yung reason kung bakit, coz I’ve loved her for the longest time, and I would see her posts all the time about jewelry, and, specifically, Manila Diamond Studio, so dun ako nagkaroon ng hilig.
“...they were very nice to help me buy my first-ever investment piece, so ever since then, sobrang nabaliw na po ako sa alahas.”
Ano ang piece of jewelry ni Alexa na prized possession niya?
Sabi niya, “I would say… I’m not wearing it po right now, but it’s a ring, for maybe more than a year ko pa lang siya nakukuha, I bought it as a gift for myself.
“It was a one-carat solitaire ring, but the band is very, very unique, it’s not your usual band na may diamonds lang sa side.
“I’ve talked about it a lot also, I have a vlog about it as well, but I’m really fascinated with rings to be specific, sa jewelry.
“So, I was really eyeing that piece for a long time, kaya sabi ko po na when I’m able to work hard enough, this is what I want to buy next for myself.
"So it will always be special to me kasi talagang pinaghirapan ko po.”
ALEXA: 'Saving first before shopping'
Nireregaluhan daw ni Alexa ang kanyang sarili kapalit ng pagod at puyat sa mga showbiz projects niya.
“Yes, actually! Kaya nga po ngayon nagtitingin-tingin din ako, kasi although nagte-taping pa kami, hindi ko pa siya deserve,” at tumawa ang magandang Kapamilya actress.
“Pero nagtitingin-tingin na po ako, kasi, well that’s also a way to keep yourself inspired, you know, to keep that passion burning, kasi hindi puwedeng magastos lang tayo,” at muling tumawa si Alexa.
“Kailangan hardworking din para ma-sustain natin yung luho natin and yung mga wants natin, sabi nga ni Mimiyuuuh bawal daw ang tamad,” at muli itong natawa.
“So iyon po, kaya whenever I eye something I really know I have to work hard for it, kasi ayoko naman bili lang nang bili, and I’m not able to save money, yun naman po ang pinaka-importante sa akin, yung makapag-ipon ako.”

At dahil endorser siya ng isang jewelry store na ang specialty ay diamond, tinanong ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Alexa kung paano niya ikukumpara ang sarili sa isang diamond.
“There’s this quote I love na sabi nga, diamonds form under pressure, through pressure, di ba?
“So that’s something I would always remind myself of when I would feel down or pressured. I always remind myself na, ‘Oh just work through this, work hard through this and you’ll come out a diamond,’ under all of this chaos and under all of this pressure.
“Iyon ang goal ko, to always come out as a diamond.”
