Conflict inside the Pinoy Big Brother house is not unusual.
However, a singular moment from this season's Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0 caught the attention of viewers, and of someone watching from outside the house with unmistakable pride.
Almost three weeks in, housemates Iñigo Jose, “Caring Kuya ng Parañaque,” and Reich Alim, “Dependable Darling ng Makati,” got into a misunderstanding over their tasks.
In the confusion, Anton Vinzon—“Astig Anak-tion Star ng Baguio”—was unexpectedly drawn into the issue.
Rather than let the disagreement escalate, Joaquin Arce, the “Rising Dreamer ng Muntinlupa,” stepped in as a mediator after Reich approached him.
He listened to each side, clarified the points that were miscommunicated, and helped ground the conversation so everyone felt validated and heard.
Viewers immediately clocked the difference it made.

JOAQUIN'S STEPMOM ANGEL LOCSIN REACTS
Quietly rooting for him long before he entered the industry is Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin, the wife of Joaquin's dad, businessman and film producer Neil Arce.
Watching from outside Bahay ni Kuya, Angel broke her social-media silence once more.
She reposted a screenshot from the event and wrote on X: “I don’t usually comment, but seeing Joaquin grow from a little boy into someone who helps, listens, and keeps the peace at home makes me proud.
“If he ever talks a bit loud or doesn’t respond, please forgive him—our son is completely deaf in his right ear.”
Fans were delighted to see Angel resurface to show support for Joaquin.
To them, it speaks volumes about their stepmom–stepson relationship. This isn’t the first time the pair has trended for their closeness.

Before officially entering the PBB house on October 25, 2025, Angel made a brief return to social media after nearly three years.
The actress broke her hiatus to repost the young star’s Star Magic launch video on Instagram, along with a heartfelt message.
"Me, your mom & your dad are proud of you. Can't wait to work with you."

The post became a trending topic, with fans elated to see Angel back online—and for such a meaningful reason.
Joaquin's appreciation for stepmom Angel Locsin
Joaquin, for his part, was just as stunned.
"My God, nagulat talaga ako [nung nalaman kong nagba-viral na]," he said during his contract signing.
"Actually, hindi sinabi sa akin na ilalabas na yung launch post ko. I was just scrolling on my Instagram sa kotse and then biglang nakita ko, nag-pop up, story ni Tita Angel.
"Ang nasabi ko na lang is, 'What?' Ako rin nabigla, na-surprise like she broke her silence for so long, especially on Instagram just to repost my launch post.
"I'm so grateful to her. Even if, kahit stepmom ko siya, fan din ako."
The appreciation runs deep.
“I hope I’m living up to your standards,” Joaquin said when asked for a message to Angel.
Asked if he’s open to working with his stepmom someday, Joaquin didn’t hesitate—though he added a dose of humility.
"Well, right now, I can't say for sure if we’ll end up working on a project together.
"But maybe, if I act well enough, I’ll earn the right to be on her level. Baka magkaroon ako ng karapatang makatrabaho si Tita Angel.
"Based on her career and the projects she’s done, it would probably be action. But again, I'm open to anything."
Joaquin was born on May 8, 2007, to Neil Arce and Leysel Samson, who remains a constant presence throughout his life.
He graduated from De La Salle Santiago Zobel in May 2025, and officially signed an exclusive contract with Star Magic two months later.
