Kinilala at binigyan ng parangal ng Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) regional office ng Quezon City ang top celebrity taxpayers of 2022 kahapon, March 8, 2023.
Labing-isa ang mga binigyan ng awards ng BIR kung saan pito rito ay Kapamilya stars, tatlo ang Kapuso, at isa mula sa ALLTV.
Personal na dumalo upang tanggapin ang kanilang award sina Batang Quiapo star and director Coco Martin, It’s Showtime co-host Anne Curtis, Eat Bulaga! co-host Maja Salvador, at phenomenal couple Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo, na kilala rin sa tawag na KathNiel.
Sa kanyang speech, hinikayat ni Anne ang lahat na maging maagap sa pagbabayad ng buwis.
Aniya, “Now that I’m a mother, I think it’s so important that we lead by example to the future generations and encourage others to think about the progression of our country as well, for the future generations that have yet to come.
"So let’s all lead by example, let’s support the BIR. And let’s pay everything on time.”
Pabirong sabi naman ni Daniel, “Maraming-maraming salamat ho sa award na ito at maraming-maraming salamat. Sa dami naming binayaran na tax."
Ayon naman kay Kathryn, “Thank you so much for this recognition, malaking bagay to sa amin.
"And hopefully, this will inspire everybody to do our responsibility bilang Pilipinong nagbabayad ng tax.”
Kabilang din sa pinarangalan ng BIR ngunit hindi nakadalo sa event sina Vic Sotto, Michael V., Judy Ann Santos, Sarah Geronimo, Liza Soberano, at Willie Revillame.
