Alexa Gutierrez has passed away, leaving her family, especially her husband Elvis Gutierrez, in deep mourning.
On August 2, 2024, Ruffa Guetierrez, Alexa's sister-in-law, shared Elvis's heartfelt eulogy for his wife on TikTok.
Elvis began his eulogy by reminiscing about how they met at a friend's party in Tagaytay.
"The whole night, I just annoyed her kasi parang ang sarap niya asarin," he recalled.
"Parang pag inaasar ko siya, parang, alam mo yun, alam mo galit, pero alam mo naman siya talaga yung inaasar ko," he said, causing laughter in the room.
"So, inaasar ko naman siya the whole night, laging siya parang, ang sungit niya sa akin. Kasi may boyfriend siya, e, hindi niya ako pinapansin.
"Until yun nga, napunta na yung group sa taas. So yun, nakakain na kami lahat and then, suddenly nag-brown out. As in pitch dark.
"After five seconds, nung bumukas yung ilaw, nakayakap na ako sa kanya," he playfully narrated.
"Sabi niya, ‘Ew,’ parang nagagalit siya kasi nga hindi naman kami close, e.
"Hindi ko naman alam, e," he said coyly.
"So, wala, after nung party na yun, ang tagal naming hindi nagkita, siguro mga four months kasi, wala, e, she has a boyfriend. Ako, may sariling buhay."
ELVIS GUTIERREZ AND WIFE ALEXA'S LOVE STORY
It was when they crossed paths again that they found their way to each other.
He went on: "And then, I don't know why, na I got invited to a beach party, na kasama yung mga best friends niya.
"Yung day na yun, sa birthday din nung the girl who introduced us to each other, parang we just clicked right away.
"Parang, our affection and connection, parang it just clicked right away.
"So, parang naiilang na yung mga tao sa amin, kasi nga, we were just, I don't know, hindi naman ano, touchy lang, hindi naman ano, wala naman," he said, treading lightly on the subject of skinship.
"Hindi pa kami nagki-kiss non, wala pang holding hands, kasi nga, kakaano pa lang namin, e.
"So, after that day, after that beach trip, meron na kaagad kaming nicknames for each other.
"Ayoko nalang sabihin kasi medyo nakakahiya."
Then Elvis let the crowd in on his and Alexa's pet names for each other at the time.
"Sabi niya, ‘Ikaw yung crispy pata ko,’" he related, prompting attendees to burst into laughter.
Continuing, "Parang, ewan ko kung mukha siguro akong crispy pata non. So, tawag ko sa kanya, sabi ko sa kanya, ‘O sige, e, di ikaw yung chicharon bulaklak.’
"Parang after that day, we were inseparable na. As in, we were together everyday until yun nga, soon after, we became a couple.
"So, we spent a lot of time together, as in, yung connection namin was really different Naramdaman ko kaagad yun from the get-go."

ELVIS AND ALEXA TRY A LONG-DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP
Everything about the pair's relationship went smoothly, until such time when Alexa had to pursue her bachelor's degree in Applied Science (BASc) in Fashion Merchandising abroad.
"Yun nga, so, until she had to leave for Houston," Elvis continued.
"So, of course, I was heartbroken, di ba? I was heartbroken... we were only together for like nine months, e, parang ganun. And then she had to leave.
He mentioned: "We promised each other na we were gonna do the dreaded long-distance relationship.
"Of course, I was nervous kasi wala namang masyadong nagsa-succeed na long-distance relationship.
"I heard a lot of bad stories about it, and we'd fall apart and all that, and the relationship falls apart. But we tried. We tried.
"Every year, I'd go there, siguro mga twice a year, just to visit her, di ba? Just to continue the relationship.
"Kasi nga, we talked everyday, e. Okay and may Skype na nun. Nakakapag-usap kami every day."
Eventually, they encountered their biggest challenge yet, during their fourth year as a distanced couple.
"There came a time na after, like, four years of long-distance relationship, there was a time na our relationship fell apart.
"We, like, almost broke up. We almost broke up," he said.
"As in, I was doing my acting job at that time, and it took too long for me to go there. Parang, I got stuck here with that job. So, our relationship fell apart."
He explained: "Basically, naging cold na siya. Kasi nga, wala na kami time together.
"So, when that happened, I decided to quit my acting job, and I went to Houston to follow her.
"I stayed there for a year. I won her heart back, eventually."

ALEXA ENCOURAGES ELVIS TO STRENGTHEN HIS FAITH
Fast forward to July 2024, after many happy years of togetherness and building their own family together with two kids Aria and Ezra, Elvis was at grips with the heartbreaking reality of Alexa's condition.
"She gave me so much love. I mean, that love for me, I have never felt it before," Elvis said.
"One time she gave me a surprise party. Nobody has ever given me a surprise party before.
"It was so special because she arranged it, she gathered all of my friends, and they went there and I almost cried.
"And I remember how much I appreciated it for her."
He added: "Nobody has loved me like that before, has thought about me like that before. She just wants me to be the happiest all the time.
"One of her last empowering messages to me was when she was being brought down to the ICU.
"When we heard the news that she was going to be brought down to the ICU, I started crying in the corner of our room.
"Because I don't show her that I cry, I always show her that I am the positive reinforcement.
"So, when she called me, ‘Babe, can you do this for me?’ And then she saw my eye and she cried.
"She said, ‘Babe, don't cry, I need you to be strong.’
"So yeah, I realized that her words mean to be strong in faith. Because in the last three to four days, I've been telling people that I've been losing my faith.
"My faith has been wavering, I've been questioning everything, because what I've endured was the most heartbreaking thing you can ever see.
"I suffered her last moments, so I questioned everything, I was mad, I tried to pray and I couldn't."
He humbly admitted, "I always prayed to the Lord before, thank you Lord for everything because I have a beautiful family.
"Thank you Lord for this family, thank you Lord. But that day I couldn't utter the words 'thank you Lord.'
"But I know that Alexa wouldn't want it that way, because Alexa fought 'til the very, very end.
"And her faith was as strong as ever until her last, last, last glimpse of life."

In his concluding statement, Elvis related the last lesson his dearly departed wife had left him in her final moments.
"I have her cellphone with me and I saw that she had Bible verses on the day that she was even in the ICU.
"Ready for her to leave, for her to be empowered.
"So, I think the lesson that she gave me is, don't ever think that way, don't let your faith waver," he said.
"Don't question it, because you have to be strong in it. Because that's how I did it. That's how I did it.
"That's how I'm planning to raise my two girls, Ezra and Aria, according to Alexa... how she was positive, empowering, loving.
"Basically, she taught me how to love so hard," he shared.
"I've never loved like that before and I don't think I ever will.
"Because, you know, everybody's been saying that Alexa is a special person. I don't think I'll ever love another person like that.
"Yeah, we will for sure miss Alexa because, you know, she's just a ray of light for everybody. Everybody that she comes in contact with.
"Somebody said warmth, warmth. You know, she's just, I don't know, magic. It's hard to explain, but that's how I felt," he gushed.
"That's why I went after her in Houston. Somebody said that I realized that I couldn't live without her.
"I said this before, but after the eight months that we were apart, I was driving down the highway and I heard this song that reminded me of her.
"I just started crying because I missed her so much. That's why I decided to go there and pursue our love.
"So now, I seriously don't know how I would feel like a year from now when the emptiness starts creeping in," he confessed.
"You know, when I miss her telling me, ‘Babe, massage my feet, massage my head,’ or ‘Babe, get me a toothbrush, I'm going to sleep now.’
"You know, simple things like that. I'm going to miss everything that she did for me, everything that she is.
"And it's really an honor, babe, to know you and to have witnessed and loved such a special, special person.
"And my dad mentioned, you know, her dad. Before, I couldn't call him dad. I used to call him Lolo Joel, but from now on, I'm going to call him Pops.
"Because that's what alerts me. Because I will pursue the Word of God.
"Because Tito Ed said, it will only happen na magkikita kami if I do what she told me to do— to be faithful to the Lord.
"Wala, I'm just going to miss her so much," he repeated.
"Everybody knows how much I love her, how much I mean to her, and how much she means to me.
"How much admiration she looks at me, how she looks at me, I'm going to miss that. I'm going to miss that.
"Nobody will ever look at me like that again, or even treat me like that again, with so much love, so much affection.
"That's why from young love to eternal love, until my last breath, baby, I will see you again.
"I love you so much. Thank you."
Apart from Elvis, Ruffa also uploaded videos of a tearful Eddie Gutierrez and Lorin Gutierrez Bektas, giving their own heartfelt eulogies.
