Unexpected as it sounds, American late-night TV icon Conan O’Brien just made a surprising detour into Philippine television.
While in Manila filming his travel show Conan O’Brien Must Go, Conan slipped into an unexpected cameo on GMA Network’s high-octane cop drama Sanggang-Dikit FR.
The show, which started airing on June 23, 2025, stars real-life celebrity couple Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado.
Photos shared by Dennis show the two leads in uniform next to Conan.

One shot even captures Jennylyn delivering a mock kick, and another shows Conan being ‘arrested’ by Dennis.

“Taping day w/ Conan the Bar Brien,” Dennis cheekily wrote.

What Happened On the set of Sanggang-Dikit FR
It appears that Conan’s cameo involves him stepping into the series’ world of cops, criminals, and action sequences.
According to reports, he dons a quirky, blindingly vibrant “kumot polo” and gets a gun pointed at him before he’s arrested by Dennis and Jennylyn’s characters.

The sequence has been taped and is set to air soon on the show’s weekday prime-time slot.
Viewers can expect the episode featuring Conan’s cameo to air sometime soon, with the series running weeknights at 8:50 P.M. on GMA Prime (with a delayed telecast on GTV).
It remains to be seen how extensive his role will be.
