Nitong Lunes, January 26, 2026, inanunsiyo ng Favor Church Manila ang ordinasyon kay Edward bilang isa sa mga bagong pastor at pastors-in-training ng kanilang simbahan.

Mababasa sa caption ng kanilang post, kalakip ang litrato ni Edward na may hawak na certificate: "Last Saturday, during our Leaders Advance, we ordained our new pastors and pastors in training—acknowledging the call of ministry on their lives and commissioning them for the work God has entrusted to them.
"We honor their yes and heart for Jesus and Favor Church! Keep them in your prayers as they step into this season.
"We have an exciting year ahead, church!"
Edward reveals he found his calling in ministry
Sa panayam ni Edward kay Bianca Gonzalez sa TFC's BRGY noong July 16, 2024, ibinahagi niya na noon pa man ay nakikita na niya ang sarili na pinaglilingkuran ang Panginoon.
Saad niya: "I really found my calling and some people might have assumed straight away na hosting ang calling [ko].
"And I believe that it's a part of it. But I really see my calling in ministry."

Ikinuwento rin ng TV host-actor kung paano mas pinatibay ng mga pagsubok ang kanyang pananampalataya sa Panginoon.
Pahayag niya: "I was probably at the lowest part, not just of my career but my life, and I was actually on the floor.
"I was already an emotional wreck and it was one of those moments when I really just called out to God that things started to happen.
"It was really a moment when I'm like, 'God I have everything that the world is telling me I should want. I have the following, I have the projects, I have the money, and I feel like so empty?'"

Dagdag pa niya: "My dream job is in ministry, like my dream job is somebody who's called a lay pastor.
"I really found what I believe I'm here on this Earth to do.
"And I know without a doubt, I've stood and people they look at what I'm doing and like, 'You are wasting your career away.'
"Remember they were trying to convince me to [do] more in the industry but I'm like at the end of my life, I am not going to stand before God and be like, 'Look at all the projects I did.'
"He's going to ask me: 'What did you do?' And I'm going to be like, 'I serve You. I knew You,' that's where I feel like I'm supposed to be."
