After several years away from the limelight, Kris Aquino is returning to the screen through a new collaboration with Netflix Philippines.
The Queen of All Media has been introduced as the streaming platform’s new C.H.I.K.A., which stands for Chief Head of Insights and Kontent Analysis.
Netflix announced Kris’ surprise return on Friday, August 7, 2026, through a short clip featuring her as the C.H.I.K.A. boss, showcasing her editing skills.
"Kris Aquino is Netflix’s C.H.I.K.A. (Chief Head of Insight and Kontent Analysis) with some bonggang upgrades to local shows, Krissy style," Netflix Philippines captioned the video.

The more-than-two-minute video features the TV host-actress sharing her insights on several local series on the platform with an editor named Earljohn, who then brings her creative directions to life.

The campaign features clips from the Pinoy series A Secret in Prague, Blood vs. Duty, and The Master Cutter, showing them enhanced with post-production effects and filters following Kris’ directions and feedback.

"Hello everyone! Good morning! Ako, ang bago ninyong boss, the new Netflix C.H.I.K.A.
"Are you ready para simulan na natin ang ating August campaign?" Kris says at the start of the video.

However, it remains unclear whether the collaboration will lead to a bigger project for Kris with Netflix or if it is limited to the current campaign.

Kris’ return immediately caught the attention of many fans who have long been looking forward to seeing her back on screen after she stepped away from show business to focus on her health while battling multiple autoimmune diseases.
