Takot ang unang umiral kay Vhong Navarro nang malaman nitong ililipat siya sa Taguig City Bureau of Jail Management and Penelogy mula sa facility ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) sa Maynila.

Pahayag ng legal counsel ni Vhong na si Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque sa Cabinet Files, “Of course, Vhong was initially afraid of the transfer.
"He did not know what will welcome him there. But BJMP ensured the security and protection of Vhong while under their custody.”
Naganap nitong Lunes ng hapon, November 21, 2022, ang paglilipat kay Vhong sa Taguig City Jail.
Labis itong ikinalungkot ng kanyang mga tagahanga sa kabila ng katotohanang alam nila ang mangyayari dahil ito ang ipinag-utos ng korte.
Sabi pa ni Atty. Garduque, “We confirm the transfer of Vhong from NBI to Taguig BJMP today. He was at Taguig BJMP at around 4 p.m.
“This is in compliance with the order of Regional Trial Court Branch 69 of Taguig dated Nov. 7, 2022. Under the rules, Vhong will undergo quarantine first from 5 to 7 days.
“We are still hopeful that the petition for bail resolution will be released within the week.”
Dahil sa quarantine, hindi papayagan si Vhong na tumanggap ng mga bisita hangga’t hindi natatapos ang isolation period niya. Ito rin ang rason kaya walang miyembro ng kanyang pamilya ang kasama nang ilipat siya sa Taguig City Jail.
Kapag natapos na ang quarantine ni Vhong, maaari na siyang tumanggap ng mga bisita tuwing araw lamang ng Sabado at Linggo.
Mahigit dalawang buwan na naka-detain si Vhong sa NBI facility dahil non-bailable ang rape case na isinampa ni Deniece Cornejo laban sa kanya.
Inilipat si Vhong sa Taguig City Jail dahil nangyari sa Taguig City ang reklamo ni Deniece noong January 2014.
Ito ang ipinaliwanag ni Atty. Garduque sa interbyu sa kanya ng PEP, limang araw na ang nakalilipas.
Pahayag niya, “Even prior to the petition for bail hearing, meron na talagang order ang court to transfer Vhong from NBI to Taguig City Jail.
“Vhong is in NBI only because he surrendered there but under the rules after the NBI issues the certificate of detention, the accused has to be transferred to the jail which has territorial jurisdiction over the case.
“Since the case is in RTC Taguig, Vhong has to be detained in Taguig City Jail.”
