Anthony Jennings has become one of the most trending showbiz celebrities owing to his jolly character Snoop in the ABS-CBN series Can't Buy Me Love.

And more so because of the show's accidental love team SnoRene featuring his endearing tandem with co-star Maris Racal as Irene.

Anthony has actually done different types of supporting roles opposite famous love teams such as that of Donnie Pangilinan and Belle Mariano (DonBelel) in Can't Buy Me Love.

Here's more about this newest comedic talent on showbiz block.

background and childhood

Anthony is 23 years old, born on November 1, 2000.

His complete name is Anthony Michael Jennings, but his family calls him Neh.

In his video interview on Tara, G (a 10-episode iWantTFC series), Anthony introduced himself as "half-Filipino, half-British. Pero mas Filipino kasi dito ako lumaki.”

He narrated how he and his family faced a lot of hardships. Growing up with his grandparents in Negros Occidental, Anthony learned how to fish because it was his lolo's main source of income. As such, he spent his childhood years playing on the beach.

REVELATIONS

In the third episode of the podcast Boys After Dark, Anthony revealed more about himself.

He said, “Well, oo, regret ko pero hindi 100 percent na sobra kong kasalanan, 50-50. Hindi kasi ako nag-aral. Elementary lang. Hindi ako marunong magsulat.

"Pumunta ako sa ABS noon hindi ako marunong magsulat. Ako pa yung nagturo sa sarili kong magbasa, hindi talaga ako nag-aral.

"Wala akong masyadong alam kasi nga personal problems, personal responsibility,”

And now that he has found work as an actor, he's been able to take care of his siblings’ education.

“Pinag-aral ko ang mga kapatid ko kasi siyempre, ayoko namang matulad sila sa akin.

"Hindi ako marunong magsulat kung makikita niyo, ang pangit ng sulat ko."

When asked about his resolve to pursue his education, he said, “Sana, kaso hindi ako nabigyan ng opportunity.

"‘Yun yung at a young age nag-start na akong mag-work na kung anu-ano ang ginawa ko sa buhay ko.

"Pero alam ko, nasa top of the mind ko pa rin, na mag-aral ako after everything, after ano’ng mangyari.”

Undeterred by his struggles with reading and writing, Anthony persisted on pursuing an acting career.anthony jennings
