Danny Tan's involvement with Gerald Santos and Enzo Almario
Danny's personal life was largely private until allegations surfaced regarding his involvement in the abuse claim of singer Gerald Santos, who was only 14 years old at the time.
On August 2, 2024, Gerald expressed his support for 23-year-old Sandro Muhlach, who filed a complaint against GMA-7's independent contractors, Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz.
The Muhlach family's lawsuit involved allegations of sexual assault and rape, although the accused parties claimed that at most, they could only be penalized for acts of lasciviousness.
Gerald was asked to serve as a resource person in the Senate proceedings on August 19, concerning Sandro's case on account of his position as a public figure in the same industry.
This came after he released a three-part YouTube vlog on August 8, where he detailed his sexual abuse claim.
"Yung actual po na harassment na ginawa po sa akin happened on December 26, 2005," Gerald conveyed in the vlog.
"Ako po ay 15 years old lamang nung panahon na yun at wala po talaga akong lakas ng loob, wala po akong gulugod.
"I cannot defend myself through words dahil ako po talaga ay helpless at baguhan, at napakabata po.
A week later on August 27, he finally named Danny to be his abuser: "Ngayon po ay handa na po akong harapin ang tunay kong kalaban: ang nanghalay at umabuso sa akin noong ako po ay 15 years old. Si Mr. Danny Tan."
Another allegation came to light on September 12, when former SugarPop member Enzo Almario, admitted that he suffered the same plight as Gerald when he was just 12 years old.
"It took me a while to finally take action on this issue, but now, I am no longer afraid, and I shouldn't be the one living in fear," Enzo wrote in a now-deleted Facebook post.
"I was raped and deceived by the same person who also raped Kuya Gerald."

Danny has not yet issued an official response although he had already taken down all of his social media accounts, including his YouTube account with over 50,000 subscribers.
PEP is open to publishing his statement regarding the claims made by Gerald and Enzo.
