Stand-up comedian Ate Gay shares another health update, saying his ongoing treatment for the neck lump recently detected by doctors is showing positive results.
In a Facebook post on July 14, 2026, Ate Gay expresses gratitude after learning from his doctor that the lump in his neck is healing.
"Thank you, Lord.
The comedian also shares that he has already completed his second CyberKnife treatment and still has three more sessions to undergo.
CyberKnife is a robotic, non-invasive radiation therapy system used to treat certain tumors and other medical conditions.
On July 9, Ate Gay first revealed that doctors had recently detected a new lump on his neck, prompting him to undergo further medical treatment.

This came a little over a week after he announced that the lumps on his neck and nose had disappeared, based on the results of his magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan.

ATE GAY ON LOSING HIS SENSE OF TASTE
In a separate Facebook post, Ate Gay opens up about one of the most difficult experiences he faced while undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment—losing his sense of taste.
He says many people have been asking how he managed to cope after food no longer tasted the same.

According to a stand-up comedian, he initially lost his appetite but pushed himself to eat after noticing how much weight he had lost.
Ate Gay also shares that, unlike some patients who lose their sense of taste but continue to produce enough saliva, his radiation treatment affected his salivary glands.

Ate Gay also encourages fellow patients to continue eating despite the challenges and to stay surrounded by their loved ones while keeping their faith.

In November 2025, Ate Gay happily announced that he had successfully completed his chemotherapy and radiation treatment for mucoepidermoid carcinoma, a rare type of cancer that affects the salivary glands.
However, his battle with cancer is not yet over.
