Baron Geisler talks about his ongoing reconciliation with a daughter he has yet to introduce to the public: "I have someone out there. I have a kid out there, another one... Hindi ko lang masabi na, 'Ako yung tatay mo,' pero lagi akong naka-abang, 'tapos umiiyak ako."

Like most parents, Baron Geisler has his fair share of regrets about raising his children.

In a YouTube vlog interview with Ogie Diaz uploaded on March 14, 2024, Baron poured out his emotions when asked about his life as a father to Talitha Cumi, Joaquin, and Javi.

He describes himself as "very loving, sweet," such as in the way he calls his daughter every day despite being busy.

"With my boys naman, I'm very sweet and kalmado ako," he continues.

"When I correct them, malumanay ako, e. 'Tsaka di ako masyadong matigas. Hindi ko sinasabayan [ng galit]. 'Tsaka mahilig ako magyakap ng anak."

On showing love towards his eldest son Joaquin, Baron relates, "I would say 'good job,' but I would rather converse with them.

"Yung 18-year-old namin, who is studying in Cebu Doctors' [University], I have a good relationship with him and kiss him sa cheek. And a hug is good enough, it means a lot."

Meanwhile, his relationship with Javi is being expressed more verbally: "Dun sa 10-year-old, nag-a-I love you ako, and he says 'I love you too, daddy.'"

Baron furthers: "My wife and I make it a point na whenever we're in Cebu, we need to go out and bond with the family kahit sa swimming pool."

Reflecting on years of being a parent, he says, "Being a father is not easy.

"Happy-go-lucky ako before. Now, para akong ABS-CBN, in the service not of the Filipino, but of my family, for my family."

Baron and his wife Jamie Marie Evangelista-Geisler tied the knot on September 12, 2019, in a civil wedding at the Quezon City Hall.

He welcomed his daughter with Jamie, Talitha, in January 2020, and embraces the role of a father to Jamie's two older sons Joaquin and Javi from a previous relationship.

BARON'S FIRSTBORN CHILD

Apart from Talitha, Joaquin, and Javi, Baron also reveals that he had been given the honor of becoming a father earlier in his life through his firstborn child — a daughter.

The 41-year-old celebrity dad discloses, "I have someone out there. I have a kid out there, another one.

"But for now, I hope someday when things are okay, we'll get to talk with her here, katabi ko na siya dito — 'Hi, anak! Kumusta?'"

When asked about his feelings on not being able to see his daughter grow up, Baron frankly admits, "Happy ako na lumaki siyang hindi niya naranasan yung kapangitan ng ugali ko, kabulastugan ko."

On the flip side, he expresses regret and longing for the years he failed to spend getting to know his daughter.

"Pero lonely and sad kasi I didn't get to hug her or see her grow up, or talk to her, or play with her," he says.

FATHER-DAUGHTER REUNION

Despite not getting to see his daughter transition to adolescence, Baron mentions that he has gotten together with her already: "Na-meet ko na, na-meet niya rin si Jamie."

Baron then develops a connection with his experience and his role in the 2022 comedy-drama film Doll House, about taking on the job of caring for a little girl — the daughter he left behind years ago.

"Kaya naka-relate ako kay Rustin dun sa Doll House. Dun ako humugot.

"Kasi ang huling beses ko siya [daughter] nakita, five or six years old siya. Then, biglang dalaga na siya.

"Natuwa ako, naiyak ako nung nag-reach out siya sa akin pero hindi ko pinakitang umiyak ako," he confesses.

"Parang nonchalant kasi kinakausap ako ng wife ko na, 'O, wag kang creepy, ha? Relax ka lang, cool ka lang.'"

As for the process behind their reunion, Baron reveals, "Tinanong ko kasi siya, yung message nang message din?

"Niligawan ko, gano'n. Slowly, slowly.

"Hangga't sa nagkaroon na, na-develop na yung trust, dun na ako humirit na, 'Can I meet you? Where can I visit you?'"

From there, it did not take long before the Dearly Beloved lead actor invited his firstborn over.

"'Come to the house, I'll prepare a lunch for you,'" he recalls of their first meeting in a long time.

"Nagdala ako ng cake, bumili ako ng kumpletong set [jewelry] ng birth stone niya, pumunta kami, kahit mahal.

"Sabi ko kay Jamie, 'Dami ko nang utang sa anak ko. Sige na, ito lang.' Magandang set siya na parang puwede siyang heirloom in the future."
