Trigger warning: Mention of domestic violence, sexual assault
BLACKPINK Jisoo’s legal representative has issued a statement addressing speculation about allegations involving her older brother, Kim Jung Hoon, in connection with sexual assault and domestic violence claims.
On April 16, 2026, several reports surfaced alleging that the older brother of a well-known girl group member—identified as "Mr. A"—had been arrested on charges of sexually molesting a female broadcast jockey.
The original allegations trace back to May 2025, when an anonymous post appeared on the workplace community platform Blind.

The post claimed that the author had engaged in a consensual relationship with Mr. A but later discovered they had been secretly filmed without consent.
It further alleged that the individual showed the footage to acquaintances and possessed additional illicit recordings involving other women.
Online speculation later linked the identity of Mr. A to Jisoo’s alleged brother.

As rumors spread, additional allegations emerged. On April 19, a woman identifying herself as Kim Jung Hoon’s wife claimed she had experienced domestic violence during their marriage.
To support her claims, she released photos allegedly showing bruises and injuries on her arms, thighs, and face, along with a handwritten letter detailing the abuse she said she endured.

According to her, the abuse began shortly after their marriage registration.
She alleged repeated verbal and physical abuse throughout the relationship, as well as coercive and controlling behavior.
She also claimed she was threatened and manipulated whenever she attempted to separate or report the abuse to authorities.
In addition, she alleged intimidation tactics, including threats of legal retaliation and financial pressure, were used to prevent her from seeking help.
The alleged victim further claimed she was subjected to psychological control, including constant surveillance allegedly through devices installed in their home, as well as monitoring of her phone and social media activity.

Kim Jung Hoon is reportedly the CEO of children’s health supplement brand Biomom and the founder of BLISSOO, the agency managing Jisoo’s solo activities.
OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM JISOO’S LEGAL REPRESENTATIVE
In response, Atty. Eun Hyun Ho of Kim & Chang, representing BLISSOO, expressed “deep regret” over the circulation of content linking the artist to a private family matter.
The legal team stressed that the issue is entirely unrelated to both Jisoo and her agency, adding that many online claims are unverified or false and damaging to her reputation.
The statement read (as per English translation by Soompi.com): "We express our deep regret over the indiscriminate spread of content that associates the artist and BLISSOO with a family-related matter, as well as the circulation of false information that damages the artist’s reputation through certain media reports, online communities, and social media.
"First, the matter currently being raised is entirely unrelated to the artist and BLISSOO.
"Much of the information circulating online consists of unverified speculation or clearly false claims."

The legal team also noted that Jisoo began her trainee life at a young age and has lived independently for many years, separate from her family.
"As such, she is not in a position to be aware of or involved in the private matters of the individual in question."
The statement further addressed rumors regarding the establishment and management of BLISSOO, clarifying that while family members may have provided limited assistance during early preparations, they have never held any managerial role or received compensation from the company.
They said: "Claims circulating in some media outlets and online stating that the individual co-founded the company with the artist or that the individual serves as part of BLISSOO’s management or as its CEO are entirely false.
"We clearly state that the individual has no legal or managerial ties to BLISSOO.
"Furthermore, neither BLISSOO nor the artist has provided any financial or legal support to the individual, nor do they have any plans to do so in the future.
"The artist also has no communication or involvement with the individual regarding this matter."
The statement concluded that continued use of Jisoo’s name, image, or likeness in relation to unrelated allegations constitutes defamation and a violation of rights.
