South Korean actors Jang Dong Yoon, 34, and Kim Seung Yoon, 28, are taking their relationship to the next level as they prepare to tie the knot in October.
Jang Dong Yoon personally announced the news on Tuesday, August 25, through a handwritten letter shared on Instagram.

In his letter, Jang Dong Yoon reveals that he will marry his longtime partner in a quiet wedding ceremony to be attended by their respective families.
He writes in his message (according to the English translation of Soompi.com): "Hello, this is Jang Dong Yoon. I’m writing this because I have some news that I wanted to share with you personally today.
"This coming October, I will be marrying someone I have been with for a long time.
"We plan to hold a quiet wedding ceremony in the form of a worship service with both families in attendance."

Jang Dong Yoon explains that their decision to marry came after spending a long time together and getting to know each other in different ways.
He says: "There were many thoughts and considerations that went into deciding to get married.
"As we spent a long time together and came to know each other in many different ways, we came to understand and cherish each other even more.
"Now, we have decided to be there for each other as our closest confidants and to build a fun and happy life together."

Jang Dong Yoon also chose to personally share the news with his fans, whom he credited for supporting him throughout his career.
"I know this news may come as a surprise, but I would be grateful if you could look upon us with warm hearts and continue to support us.
"I will continue to do my best to impress as an actor while also striving to live more maturely as a person. Thank you."

Jang Dong Yoon and Kim Seung Yoon’s love story reportedly began through their shared passion for acting and filmmaking.
The pair first crossed paths when Jang Dong Yoon ventured into directing with the 2023 short film Please Be My Ear, in which Kim Seung Yoon starred.

Kim Seung Yoon also played the lead role in The Yeast, Jang Dong Yoon’s feature-length directorial debut, which was released last April.
Their relationship eventually developed beyond their professional collaboration, with the two reportedly dating privately for years before surprising fans with their marriage announcement.
Jang Dong Yoon made his acting debut in the 2016 Korean drama series Game Development Girls. He later appeared in School 2017, The Tale of Nokdu (2019), Daily Dose of Sunshine (2023), and Queen Mantis (2025).

Meanwhile, Kim Seung Yoon also appeared in the 2019 drama The Tale of Nokdu, which starred Jang Dong Yoon in the lead role.
Her other acting credits include Method (2017), Crash (2024), and Please Take Care of the Eagle Brothers (2025).
