Angelica Lopez bows out of MGI 2026 after Top 25 finish

The Philippines’ Angelica Lopez bows out of Miss Grand International 2026 after failing to advance beyond the Top 25 semifinalists.

However, she still has a chance to secure a slot on Top 5 through fan votes.

The 14th edition of Miss Grand International is held tonight, October 10, at MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand.

The pageant initially expected to select a Top 10 from the semifinalists.

However, as the judges had difficulty choosing among the candidates, one additional slot was opened, allowing 11 contestants to advance to the next round.

The Top 11 finalists will continue competing for the Miss Grand International 2026 crown, with the remaining rounds determining who will succeed reigning queen Emma Mary Tiglao of the Philippines.

Angelica’s elimination ends the Philippines’ bid for a third consecutive Miss Grand International title.

Fellow Filipina Christine Juliane Opiaza won the crown in 2024, followed by Tiglao in 2025.

7. Miss Grand Ecuador 2026 – Shyare Andrade
8. Miss Grand Guatemala 2026 – Ximena Carillo
9. Miss Grand Cuba 2026 – Alyanni T. Gomez
10. Miss Grand Côte d’Ivoire 2026 – Kany Kouassi
