Lahad ni Pangilinan, "I called him the day before the announcement.

"I told him first, thanking him for taking my call, and I said I felt it best to tell him personally over the phone that the plans have changed and it was unexpected.

"But I felt that VP Leni had to be supported in this announcement and also in ensuring that there is a tandem, that she has a vice-presidential candidate.

“So, we left it at that and, sabi nga, ganyan talaga nangyayari yan."

Saad niya, "So, of course, ang sabi ko nga, masakit sa akin, masakit for Sharon.

"But, like you, I suppose, your family, you also have your share of conflicts, differences.

“Minsan nagiging masakit or emotional, but we pray, we hope that after all is said and done, that for the hurt that this has caused, we seek, we hope for reconciliation and forgiveness for the pain caused.

“And we prayed about it with Sharon, and she she said nga wherever I am she will support."

Sabi nito, “Hindi kami nag-away, walang ganun.

RIFT WITH FAMILY?

Pahayag ni Sharon, "Two men I greatly love - one whom I have known since birth, and the other, one I exchanged solemn vows with twenty-five years ago, are about to vie for the second highest position in the country, and once again, I do not know what I could have done so wrong to find myself in the midst of two rocks.

"What could I, can I do?

"I pray that after this game called politics is over, that wounds are healed, loved ones do not doubt your love for them, and I and my sisters, especially, the only family I have left besides my own, find our way back to one another’s arms, unscathed and free of the pain our battlescars have brought us.

"It is most difficult for us in the periphery, who never imagined we would be in this position.

"May God bless us all. May God help me through this trying period… Please pray for all of us…"

Aniya, “I have always been quiet, ignoring negative, mean and slanderous comments about my dad made by judgmental people, whether I know them personally or not, as if they know everything and us very well.

“I prayed if I should voice out my true emotions when asked about Kuya Kiko running against dad for VP…

“I cried because I am so hurt and disappointed.

"It made me feel that my parents were of no value after all. Ate [Sharon] has always been considered and treated like a daughter by my dad and especially my mom.

“I will continue to pray for them, and of course, for my dad and his protection, wisdom, discernment, and I praise and thank God for giving me him as my earthly father.”
