May bago na namang achievement ang singer-actor na si Ronnie Liang.
Bukod sa pagiging Philippine Army reservist, licensed pilot, master’s degree holder, at ngayon ay kumukuha pa ng kanyang doctorate degree, bahagi na rin si Ronnie ng Quezon City People's Law and Enforcement Board (PLEB).
Ang PLEB ay ahensiya na nagsisilbing “check and balance mechanism created by law against erring policemen."
Itinatag sa pamamagitan ng Republic Act No. 8551, "PLEB is the central receiving entity for citizens’ complaints against any uniformed member of the Philippine National Police (PNP).”
Sa Facebook ngayong araw, September 7, 2023, ibinahagi ni Ronnie ang ilang larawan sa kanyang pag-duty sa ahensiya.
Ang una raw nilang tututukan ay ang road rage incident sa pagitan ng dating pulis na si Wilfredo Gonzales at sa siklistang si Allan Bandiola na inihain sa ahensiya ni Atty. Raymond Fortun.
Ang Quezon City-PLEB ay pinamumunuan ni Atty. Ralph Calinisan, boyfriend ng aktres na si Dawn Chang at abogado ni Pokwang sa deportation complaint nito laban sa ex-partner na si Lee O’Brian.
Aniya, “Thanks to Mayor Joy Belmonte of Quezon City for making me part of the People's Law and Enforcement Board (PLEB). PLEB is a group of regular citizens in the Philippines who handle complaints from the public about any wrongdoing by police officers.
“I am one of five members of PLEB-Quezon City led by Chairman Atty. Rafael Vicente Calinisan. Like a Judge, we will carefully listen to the complaint filed by Atty. Raymond Fortun how the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) handled the recent road mishap involving Mr. Wilfredo Gonzales and Mr. Allan Bandiola.”
