Puno ng emosyon, paggunita, at pasasalamat ang laman ng eulogy ni Kim Atienza para sa bunso niyang anak na si Emman Atienza.
Sa huling gabi ng lamay ni Emman sa Heritage Memorial Park nitong Martes, November 4, 2025, proud na ibinahagi at inalala ni Kim ang kabutihan ng kanyang anak—hindi lang sa kanilang pamilya, kundi sa lahat ng mga mahal sa buhay at nakakasalamuha nito.
"Thank you very much for being with us tonight. The family has been going through very tough, tough few days since Emman died, and you give us comfort.
"But tonight is a night of thanksgiving. Tonight is a night that I thank the Lord for what a beautiful life that He gave me.
"I have a beautiful family. I have a beautiful wife, Feli. I have a beautiful two kids—Jose and Eliana.
"And it’s a night of thanksgiving for the nineteen beautiful years that He gave Emann to us," panimula ni Kim sa harap ng pamilya, mga kaibigan, at mga nagmamahal kay Emman.
Kim Says daughter Emman was “so generous to a fault”
Paglalarawan ni Kim, likas na mabait at mapagbigay ang bunso niyang si Emman noong ito ay nabubuhay pa.
Ang mga perang ibinibigay sa kanya ni Kim, ina niyang si Felicia Hung Atienza, o sa lolo niyang si dating Manila Mayor at Buhay Party-list Representative Lito Atienza ay hindi niya sinasarili, bagkus ay ibinibigay niya sa mga mas nangangailangan.

Saad ng Kapuso TV host, "Emman was such a beautiful, beautiful kind person. She was so generous.
"Alam niyo, Emman was so generous to a fault. She had no value for money. She would ask money from Mama, ask money from Papa, ask money from Lolo to give away."
Isa raw sa hindi makakalimutan ni Kim pagdating sa pagiging mapagbigay ni Emman ay nang minsan siyang makatanggap ng malaking pamasko mula sa kanyang Lolo Lito.

Sa halip daw kasi na ipunin o ipambili ng materyal na gamit, mas pinili raw ni Emman na hati-hatiin itong ibigay sa kanilang mga kasambahay nang walang pag-aalinlangan.
Pagbabalik-tanaw ni Kim: "One time, it was Christmas, and her Lolo, my dad, was very generous to all the apos. He gave each apo a sizable amount for them to save or for the parents to use for their education. It was quite sizable.
"And Emman, it was given to Emman. And then, a few days after Christmas, I talked to Emman and Emman was so proud.
"Emman told me, 'Papa, I gave PHP30,000 to the driver. I gave PHP20,000 to Alicia. I gave PHP10,000 to our gardener. And they were crying tears of joy.'
"I said, 'Emman, they cry because they've never received anything that big in their life.
"'But I wanna tell you that I'm not gonna tell your mom because your mom will get very pissed. But I wanna say that I am so proud of you.'"
Pagmamalaki pa ni Kim, "That's my Emman. She's so generous to a fault."

The pizza story
Isa pa sa hindi makalimutang kuwento ni Kim ng pagiging mabuti at mapagbigay ng kanyang anak ay noong bago ito umalis sa Pilipinas papuntang Los Angeles, California—kunsaan din ito binawian ng buhay.
Pahayag ni Kim: "Another kuwento, the night before she was gonna leave for L.A., I bonded with her. I went with her to her climbing gym.
"And then I said, 'Emman, your eyeglasses are a bit twisted already. I want to buy you a new pair.' [She said,] 'Okay, Papa.'
"[I replied,] 'But I wanna go with you climbing and maybe bond with your friends.'
"So we went to the optical shop across the climbing gym and I bought her a pair of glasses.
"She chose a nice pair and I spent something like PHP15,000 on the pair and she was so thankful.
"While I was having lens installed, it takes about 30 minutes, e, Emman said, 'Papa, I wanna treat my friends in the gym, pizza.'
"I said, 'Okay!' So she went to Domino's Pizza.
"While I was waiting for the lens, she ordered pizza. She picked me up, and then we went to pay for the pizza."
Hindi raw akalain ni Kim na aabot sa PHP28,000 ang bill ng dalaga dahil halos nasa 20 boxes ng pizza ang inorder nito para sa lahat ng kanyang mga kaibigan sa gym—na may mahigit isandaang katao.
Ani Kim: "I was expecting to pay like PHP3,500. [But] the bill was PHP28,000.
"Emman bought something, like, twenty pizzas for all her friends in the gym, about one hundred of them.
"That's my Emann, so generous."
Imbes na mainis, napuno raw ng tuwa ang puso ni Kim sa kabutihang ipinakita ng kanyang anak.
Proud na proud daw siya bilang ama na makitang napalaki nila nang maayos si Emman na may malasakit sa kapwa.
"She would ask for GCash from Mama, GCash from Papa so she can treat her friends.
"She borrowed the car for hours so she can take ten of her friends home and pick them up, because she was so generous.
"And I'm so proud of my Emman."
Kim admits Emman’s death made him question the Lord
Sa kabila ng masasayang alaala kay Emman, hindi rin naitago ni Kim ang kanyang lungkot at labis na pangungulila sa pagkawala ng pinakamamahal niyang anak.
Pag-amin niya, dumating sa puntong kinuwestiyon niya ang Diyos kung bakit kailangang mawala ni Emman sa mura nitong edad.
Labingsiyam na taong gulang lamang nang sumakabilang buhay ang sikat na social media influencer noong October 22.

Ngunit sa gitna ng pagdadalamhati, isang text message mula raw sa isang Indonesian national, na nagpakilalang kaibigan ni Emman ang nagbigay liwanag at pag-asa kay Kim.
Emosyunal niyang pahayag: "You know, when Emman went, I was asking the Lord, 'Lord, why? My prayer every single night was for Emman to be safe, for Emman to heal, for Emman to be protected. And then Emman passed away.'
"You know, the more I get messages from friends and the more I get letters from people I don't know, that day when I was really downcast and I was really sad and depressed and I was asking the Lord to give me a sign, I got this letter from an Indonesian student.
"[It reads], 'Hi, Mr. Atienza. It's Cajaia. I'm a student from Jakarta. I'd like to express my profound condolences for the loss of Emman.
"'She was one of the brightest people I knew and she was extremely inspirational.
"'Ever since we met, we would be very open with each other about mental health.
"'Even up to this year, I myself struggle with my own battles. And on the same day that she passed, I also attempted.
"'I don't know why I am the one who's still here, and I'm endlessly sorry for that.
"'But I hope it brings you some kind of solace that I will continue to live in honor of your daughter.
"'And will do everything in my power to keep it that way.'"

Matapos mabasa, napagtanto raw ni Kim na maaaring ang ipinadalang mensahe ng kaibigan ni Emman ang sagot ng Diyos sa kanyang dasal at tanong kung bakit ganoon na lamang kalagim ang sinapit ng kanyang anak.
Lahad ni Kim: "That's one student that she touched. Based on what I see, she's touched so many lives, so many of her followers in social media.
"And the message is very clear, be a little kind every day, just a little kindness every single day."

Sa pagtatapos ng kanyang eulogy, muling ipinaabot ni Kim ang kanyang wagas na pagmamahal sa anak at paalala na palaging piliing maging mabuti sa kapwa.
Saad niya, "My Emman is gone. This is the lowest point in my life, but I have hope because if I'm kind today, just a little kind, then Emman is alive in my heart.
"Emman, I love you. Say hello to Jesus for me."
Ang depresyon ay seryosong usapin. May mga organisasyong handang tumulong sa mga taong dumaraan sa ganitong kondisyon. Katulad na lamang ng National Center for Mental Health na inilunsad ng Department of Health.
