Usap-usapan ngayon online ang diretsahang pahayag ng OPM legend na si Celeste Legaspi tungkol sa mga P-pop powerhouse na BINI at SB19.
Noon pang May 10, 2026 na-upload ang panayam ni Celeste sa Senior Moments with Louie Montalbo sa YouTube, pero ngayon lamang ito naging viral sa social media.
Ito ay dahil sa video clip kung saan natanong si Celeste tungkol sa pananaw niya sa music industry ngayon, bilang kilala siyang isa sa batikang Original Pilipino Music (OPM) singers.
Si Celeste ang kumanta ng classic OMP songs na "Mamang Sorbetero," "Saranggola Ni Pepe," "Gaano Ko Ikaw Kamahal," at "Tuliro."
Pinuri nang husto ni Celeste ang SB19, na aniya'y talagang kahanga-hanga ang talento at performances.
"You know, I like SB19 a lot. They’re really, really good," panimula niya.
Sa sumunod niyang pahayag, lumalabas na tila hindi niya gaanong gusto ang P-pop girl group na BINI.
"I’m not so crazy about BINI. Kasi parang... hindi sila masyadong..."
Hindi na tinapos ni Celeste ang kanyang pahayag tungkol sa BINI, at sa halip ay ipinagpatuloy niya ang pagpuri sa P-pop boy group na SB19, partikular na sa miyembro nitong si Stell.
Ayon sa beteranang singer, kahanga-hanga ang SB19 dahil nakikipagsabayan sila sa Korean artists o K-pop groups na marami ring Pinoy ang nahuhumaling.
"The SB19, they're really, really good.
"I’m so proud of them. When I see them next to the Koreans, hello! Ano ba?
"Ang galing-galing ni Stell. We produced the 70th birthday concert of Ryan [Cayabyab], and we got the young people, and Stell sang.
"He sang so well. He sang, like [wow], ang ganda-ganda," saad ng OPM legend.

Dagdag pa ni Celeste: "Ang galing-galing nila. I love watching them. They're really, really good. I'm very proud of them.
"And I'm very aliw that Pablo is Caviteño, because my mother is Caviteña, so I have Caviteño blood."

BINI FANS QUESTION CELESTE’S STATEMENT
Dahil sa naging pahayag ni Celeste, ilang Bloom o fans ng BINI ang nagbigay ng reaksiyon at kinuwestiyon ang tila pagkukumpara ng veteran singer sa dalawang P-pop groups na patuloy nagbibigay ng karangalan sa Pilipinas, kahit daw magkaiba ang kanilang estilo ng musika.

Post ng isang netizen sa X (published as is): "To Madam Celeste Legaspi, as an OPM fan, I have huge respect for you as one of the pillars of OPM. I also want to say that there is absolutely nothing wrong with not being into BINI’s music.
"We, as Blooms, can respect that. It’s also completely fine for you to mention BINI in interviews, especially when you’re being asked about the current music scene.
"Yes, we are all entitled to our own choices and preferences, but being entitled to your opinion doesn’t mean you’re exempt from being respectful when expressing it.
"What bothered many people wasn’t simply the fact that you mentioned BINI, but the tone and expressions that came with it.
"It came across as though you were speaking about them with disdain, as if you were disgusted by their music or didn’t even want to acknowledge them.

Kinuwestiyon din ng nasabing netizen ang umano'y pagiging "unprofessional" ni Celeste sa pagsagot sa tanong kung ihahambing daw ito sa iba pang singers gaya nina Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid, Gary Valenciano, at Lani Misalucha.

Samantala, may ilan din namang netizens na nagtanggol kay Celeste at sinabing may karapatan siyang magkaroon ng sariling opinyon tungkol sa musika at sa kung kanino siya nagagalingan.
Post ng isang netizen na nagtanggol sa kanya, "Trying to cancel Celeste Legaspi because she doesn't like BINI?
"Like, wala kayo sa kalingkingan ng naiambag niyan sa industriya. Hindi ako pumalag sa discussion the past few days, but f*cking attempting to downgrade Celeste? Nakakahiya ang attitude na yan."
Sabi pa ng isa, "Taking a jab at Ms. Celeste Legaspi will never make BINI the best at vocals right now.
"She has worked in the music and theater industry for a long time; her professional experience and judgment are not for you to question. Who is a nobody in music."
Sentimyento pa ng isa: "Nakakatawa yung haters ni Celeste Legaspi.
