With the coveted Miss Grand International 2026 crown within reach, five finalists face the final question-and-answer portion of the competition in Bangkok, Thailand, tonight, October 10, 2026.
And it was Miss Tanzania Jihan Dimack who gave the winning answer.
The competition began with 80 contestants representing countries and territories around the world.
Through a series of elimination rounds, the field was narrowed down to the Top 25 semifinalists, followed by the Top 11 and the final five contenders.
Now, the remaining finalists face one last challenge before the new queen is crowned.
The final question-and-answer portion tests the delegates' ability to communicate their thoughts, defend their perspectives, and respond under pressure as they compete for the international title.
One of the five finalists will succeed reigning queen Emma Mary Tiglao of the Philippines, who won the 2025 edition after fellow Filipina Christine Juliane Opiaza claimed the crown in 2024.

QUESTION: In your opinion, what qualities should an empowered woman possess?
Miss Grand Ecuador 2026 – Shyare Andrade
Answer (translated to English): I grew up in a home where my mom was my main reference, and since I was little, she instilled in me that the first quality a person should have is simplicity and being grateful for the small things in life.
Especially because that quality has led me to be able to connect with thousands of people, not only in my country, but also worldwide, and especially to my Equatians.
Because that's the one quality that made me different, the one that made me connect with the whole world, and that is the power I want to carry.
I want to be the engine towards opportunity to be-- My next mission as your next Miss Grand International, I want to carry that message, and that is my power, to unite not only a nation, but the whole world through simplicity and gratitude.

Miss Grand Guatemala 2026 – Ximena Carillo
Answer: I feel like one of the biggest qualities a woman can possess is to be determined, to have determination, to believe in herself.
I come from a legacy of women who have taught me to not be afraid of who I am.
That no matter how big is my dream or how far it is, I can always make it come true. I'm, uh, so happy that I came from a family that taught me to believe in myself.

Miss Grand Netherlands 2026 – Beau Megan Goos
Answer: The quality that an empowered woman should possess is being brave.
I have been in the pageant industry since I was six years old, and there I had a dream of becoming Miss Grand International.
I knew that I come from a small country in the pageantry world, but I still made that choice of coming here to represent the people of my country.
I made that brave decision because I knew that if I do not try, I never know, and that is what an empowered woman should do. Being ready isn't a choice of a feeling.
It is who you are. So do not be afraid of going to places where you do not know where you might end up. It is about the experience that e-eventually will make who you are. Thank you.
Miss Grand Vietnam 2026 – Emoura Pham
Answer: She should be a bridge, a bridge to help other people have more opportunities, to empower other people, to be able to help other people.
This is the reason why my family and I started our One Hundred Bridges for Our Homeland project because I believe that an empowered woman helps other people, takes care of other people.
It has been my mission to build bridges across the Mekong Delta for the families and communities in Vietnam that are less fortunate than my own. Today, we have already built eighteen bridges.
Bridges nineteen and twenty are almost done. I believe that this connects children to opportunities, brings them closer to school, allows families to reach better livelihoods, and turns dreams into reality.
