Nadine's mood swings were related to her grief over the death of her brother, Isaiah Lustre, in October 2017.
Nadine said of her mood swings, “Yung pagiging patient po niya [James], nakita ko po yun nung bago lang po yung sa brother ko, kasi nag-Japan kami noon.
“And then, hindi ko po alam, e. Yung mood swing ko, malala talaga siya.
“Parang pag hindi ako sang-ayon sa naging desisyon, kasi we travel po as a group, so parang minsan hindi ako nagsasalita, minsan tahimik lang ako.
“Minsan madaldal ako and masayahin ako, 'tapos biglang magsusungit ako.
“Sobrang unstable ko nung time na yun.”
Nadine then showed her appreciation for James' support.

“And, at first, it was hard for me just because I was like, this couldn’t happen, this can’t go away because I still wanna be with this person, but one day I just woke up and then I told friend, ‘You know what, it’s not there anymore.’"
