Sa wakas ay naglabas na ng pahayag ang SyCip Gorres Velayo & Company (SGV), ang official auditing firm ng Miss Universe Philippines 2023, tungkol sa technical issue na naranasan nila noong grand coronation ng national beauty pageant.
Ginanap ang grand coronation ng Miss Universe Philippines 2023 sa Mall of Asia Arena noong May 13, 2023, kung saan si Michelle Dee ng Makati ang kinoronahang bagong Miss Universe Philippines.

Sa inilabas na joint statement ng SGV at MUPH, sa pamamagitan ng inquirer.net, na lumabas ngayong araw, May 24, 2023, inamin ng auditing firm na nagkaroon talaga ng technical issue na kaagad nilang natunugan.
Ito ang dahilan kaya kaagad nilang ipinatupad ang manual validation sa resulta.
Sabi sa joint statement: “MUPh and SGV are committed to fairness, transparency, and impartiality of the selection for the country’s representative to Miss Universe.
“MUPh has established policies and procedures for the tabulation process, including the engagement of SGV as an independent tabulator for the past four years.
“A technical issue occurred that affected the tabulation of the judges’ scores in the selection of the Top 10 finalists, which was immediately detected.
"Upon detection, MUPh and SGV immediately implemented the contingency plan to perform manual validation of the results in observance of the agreed protocols.”
Dahil daw sa nangyari, napagdesisyunan ng MUPH board na pahintulutan ang Top 18 na rumampa sa evening gown competition “to immediately resolve and uphold the fairness of the competition.”
Ang maglalaban-laban lamang dapat sa evening gown competition ay ang Top 10.
Dagdag pa sa pahayag, “In light of the situation, SGV recognizes the efforts of the MUPh board, led by Mr. Jonas Gaffud, to immediately resolve and uphold the fairness of the competition by allowing the 18 delegates to compete in the evening gown competition.
“The judges’ selection of the final winners was independently tabulated by SGV to determine the Top 5 and the final winners.
“With the foregoing, we were able to uphold and preserve the integrity of the process and the results.”
TECHNICAL PROBLEMS AFTER TOP 10 ANNOUNCEMENT
Sa grand coronation ng pageant, pumasok sa Top 18 ang pageant veterans na sina Emmanuelle Vera, Michelle, Samantha Panlilio ng Cavite, at Pauline Amelinckx ng Bohol.

Pero sa Top 10 ay hindi na nakasama ang pangalan ni Emmanuelle.
Ang mga inanunsiyong nakapasok ay sina Michelle, Pauline, Samantha, Krishnah Gravidez (Baguio), Klyza Ferrando Castro (Davao Oriental), Christine Opiaza (Zambales), Jan Marie Bordon (Bacolod), Jannarie Zarzoso (Agusan Del Norte), Rein Hillary Carrascal (Sorsogon), at Airissh Ramos (Eastern Samar).

Ikinagulat ni Vice Ganda at maraming netizens ang pagkaligwak ng crowd favorites na si Emmanuelle at si Miss Pampanga Angelique Manto.

Matapos ang anunsiyo ng Top 10, nagkaroon ng tila pag-aklas ang netizens sa naging resulta ng umusad sa kumpetisyon.
Nakadagdag pa sa tensiyon ang matagal na commercial break upang maglaban-laban na ang napiling Top 10 sa evening gown competition.
Kalaunan, lumabas ang host na si Xian Lim sa entablado at ipinaalam sa publiko ang hindi inaasahang kaganapan sa pagko-compute ng scores ng mga kandidata.
Sabi ni Xian: "To everyone watching here tonight and to everyone watching at home via online streaming we have an announcement to make.
"This is gonna make tonight a little interesting.
"Due to technical issues, we've resulted to manual tallying, which means, our Top 18 candidates will go through the evening gown and compete for the Top 5."
Ibig sabihin, diretso na sa Top 5 pagkatapos irampa ng Top 18 candidates ang kanilang evening gowns.

Tila nawalan ng saysay ang Top 10, at naging game changer sa pageant ang desisyong ito.
Halimbawa, hindi pasok si Miss Pampanga sa Top 10, pero nakarampa siya sa evening gown dahil sa desisyon at umabot pa siya sa Top 5.

Isang linggo matapos ganapin ang grand coronation night, saka pa lamang naglabas ng official statement si Shamcey Supsup tungkol sa nangyaring "technical issues."

Nanghihinayang naman si Emmanuelle na hindi man lang niya masabing nasa Top 10 siya sa katatapos lamang na kumpetisyon.
Sa Instagram nitong nakaraang May 18, 2023, tila may pag-amin siyang nasa Top 10 siya ngunit hindi nasama ang kanyang pangalan sa mga inanunsiyo.
Bahagi ng kanyang post, “A top 10 finish, though it remains unannounced, is surely something to be grateful for, and a feat I could never have accomplished without you."
