Lumipad papuntang Taiwan si Ricci noong September 19, 2022, para maglaro sa PLeague+, ang professional basketball league based in Taiwan kung saan nasa line-up siya ng Taoyuan Pilots team. He was away for 10 months.
Hinatid si Ricci ng family niya sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport, but Andrea was unable to see him off.
She was in Thailand then for a commitment at kailangang mag-stay doon for a while.

On October 4, Andrea uploaded a vlog that netizens would eventually call “the red flag video.”
In this vlog, kasama ng 20-year-old actress nag 25-year-old cager na nagkuwento kung paano nagsimula ang kanilang relasyon.

Nagsagawa si Andrea ng promposal through the BlackPink concert na idinaos noong Linggo ng gabi ng March 26, 2023. sa Philippine Arena, Bocaue, Bulacan.
According to Ricci, wala siyang idea sa plano ni Andrea.
Aniya, “Actually, wala akong idea sa plano niya. Ipinakita niya sa akin yung isang banner.
"Wala naman akong idea sa writing ng Korean so hindi ko alam at hindi ko rin naintindihan.
"Kaya nung tinatanong ako, hindi ko agad alam ang sasabihin ko kasi hindi ko naiintindihan, e.

He wrote on Twitter (published as is): "I own up to the mistake of not making my relationship status public because I felt there’s no need to add up to what were going through. I hope let’s stop creating your own versions and dragging other characters into these false accusations. I am sorry for whatever disappoinments [sic] it may have caused you - for everyone’s peace of mind, please allow ourselves to heal and move on peacefully without hate and pain."
