Kaabang-abang ang bagong university series na Safe Skies Archer (SSA).
Ito ang second installment of the University Series, a book series written by Gwy Saludes. Her other Wattpad books under the University Series are The Rain in España, Chasing in the Wild, Avenues of the Diamond, and Golden Scenery of Tomorrow.
Ang SSA ay kuwento ng dalawang estudyanteng mula sa magkaibang unibersidad: si Hiro from De La Salle University (DLSU) at Yanna from Far Eastern University (FEU).
Si Jerome Ponce ang gaganap bilang Hiro, habang katambal naman niya si Krissha Viaje bilang Yanna.
Nag-umpisa sa no-strings-attached relationship ang dalawa, pero Yanna finds herself developing feelings for Hiro, kahit alam niyang hindi magtatagal ang anumang namamagitan sa kanilang dalawa.
Five years later, they meet again in the most mundane of circumstances and na-realize nilang hindi pa sila nakaka-move on from the past.
The series’ creative producer is Chynna Ortaleza, while the director is Gino M. Santos, who is known for shows like Teen Clash (2023), Love Me Tomorrow (2016), and Ex With Benefits (2015).
Ipinalabas ang docu-series ng behind the scenes ng SSA sa Viva One ngayong araw, September 6, 2023. Ipapalabas naman ang series sa October.

Safe Skies Archer cast: their roles and their thoughts on the show
Jerome Ponce
Gaganap si Jerome bilang si Hiro, also known as Akihiro Jeonel Juarez. Based on the novel at sa cast reveal last September 4, 2023, Hiro is a good-looking man with a focused personality.
Alam niya kung ano ang gusto niyang marating sa buhay, at iyon ay ang tapusin ang kurso niyang mechanical engineering sa DLSU upang makarating sa Florida to pursue further studies and become a full-fledged pilot. And this is a dream that he eventually fulfills.
How did Jerome prepare for his role as one of the main characters?
Paglalahad ni Jerome, "Honestly, given the opportunity, the workshops... mas maging close sa kanya [Krissha], makilala kasi... siya ang makakasama ko dun [sa shoots] mostly.
"And first of all, para magkaroon kami ng isang magandang on-cam character relationship, kailangan simulan sa off-cam relationship.
"So yun ang pinaka-preparation ko."
Ano naman ang thoughts niya sa ka-love team niyang si Krissha?
“She’s so nice… I think this is gonna be a good partnership,” tugon ng hunk actor.
Krissha Viaje
Krissha plays the role of Yanna, also known as Ashianna Kim Fernandez. Yanna is a tourism major sa Far Eastern University. She has also been known to have a series of “sexcapades” until she met Hiro (Jerome Ponce).
She eventually parts ways with Hiro, graduates, and becomes a flight attendant.
“She’s very daring, very fun, the life of the party… friendly na medyo wild,” according to Direk Gino.
Bilang ka-love team ni Jerome, how does Krissha prepare para sa mga kilig scenes?
"Binibigyan kami ng workshops ng VIVA," sabi ni Krissha, na aminadong di pa niya gaanong kilala si Jerome.
"So far, hindi pa po kami gaano katagal magkakilala since ngayon pa lang kami nagka-work. And also kahit pareho kaming from ABS-CBN, hindi talaga kami nagtagpo ng landas.
"So ngayon, bini-build po namin yung connection namin and also through workshops na hopefully, magkaroon po kami ng mas magandang chemistry at mas maisapuso po namin yung character namin."

Jairus Aquino
Jairus is set to play the role of Shan, ang best friend ni Hiro. Unlike his best friend, si Shan ay maituturing na romantic type na tao.
How does Jairus feel about being part ng cast ng Safe Skies Archer?
Pag-amin ng aktor, "The pressure is really there kasi seeing the success of the first book [The Rain in España], the success of each character, kung paano nila ginawa yung characters nila, is sobrang talagang napatunayang nilang successful...
"Sobrang pressured kasi iba-iba yung imagination ng bawat isa, iba't iba yung understanding ng bawat isa sa bawat character. Same goes sa aming artista—iba-iba.
"So we're pressured, but we're gonna do our best to hit all of their expectations."
Hyacinth Callado
Si Hyacinth naman ang gaganap bilang si Elyse, ang half-sister ni Shan. Based on the novel, Elyse has a big crush on Hiro. Pero lalabas ba ito sa live adaptation ng Safe Skies Archer?
How does she feel about getting the role?
"I'm just very grateful to be here. It is something that I've worked for, definitely," simple ngunit makahulugang pahayag ni Hyacinth.
